I went to Evansville Appliance Parts because my outside a/c unit switch would stick and stay running. I took pictures and went in the guy said it sounds like the contacts are corrupted I agreed he said he couldn't tell by the pictures if it was 12 volt or 24 volt I needed to bring it in. I drove home remove it and brought it in they didn't evendors look at it and sold me a 24 volt contactor I got home it would kick on the unit bUT it was blowing hot air and the compressor was getting extremely hot I put the old contactor back on and it worked fine just wouldn't shut off because irthe would get stuck. I drive back for the 3rd time and asked if they sold the the wrong contactor the guy I spoke to the 1st time said I told you to bring your old one in I said I did they didn't even look at it they just sold me a 24volt one I said it didn't work apparently I need a 12volt one he said that's not what I said it's either 24volt or 12volt I'm not an hvac expert but I know what he originally said and 24volt and 12volt is a big difference the problem is I never asked to return the part I just wanted the right one to fix my air seeing it's 90 degrees outside it was only $21 so they are willing to lose a customer for life over $21 and I work customer service at a major retailer and would refer many people to them but not anymore horrible customer service never once asked for a refund...
Read moreCalled and asked if they had a washing machine capacitor in stock. The man on the phone said yea they did. He then quoted me a price of nearly $50 before tax I informed him that the same part on eBay was half that price with free shipping he then said it wasn't a whirpool brand part. I told him it was he then proceeded to say in a rude tone that the eBay seller mist have stolen the part since they couldn't afford to sell them at that price and then he rudely hung up on me. The eBay seller had more then 1 in stock so I ordered it off of eBay. To the man on the phone 1st off change your attitude secondly face the facts that more than likely anything you have can be found cheaper online. Will never call them again and suggest to any other to just look online for the part your looking for and compare prices with...
Read moreMy grandmother had ordered the part to her washer that you add the detergent into. I forget the exact dollar amount but I believe it was in the $80-90 range. After a MONTH the part never arrived. I eventually called myself and went to ask someone working there and they both claimed that they were just waiting on the factory to send over the part, but that they could speed it up by having us pick the part up somewhere else for an additional charge. I found the part online for about $30 cheaper and it arrived 4 days after ordering it. If this just happened to me it would be one thing but this happened to my grandmother and the whole situation has rubbed me the wrong way as I didn't believe any excuses that I heard from the company. Maybe this was just an exception to the norm but it's not...
