I went into Macy's Evansville store 3 times to order a bedroom bedspread. Because 2 different store representatives wouldn't take the time to look up the correct size. Just said they don't make King. The third time I went in a greed employee looked after I bought the Duvay. She looked further and found the King. Within 3 minutes the credit dept. said it would take 3 to 5 days to cancel. So what did the evil credit department do out of spite because the store representative pushed the issue. They were mean enough to cancel the $344.00 sale and keep the $133.00 sale. In my opinion, in the home dept., this isn't the first time a very seasoned employee in the second visit wouldn't take the time to look further because she was too buy on her $100 sale. Before on a mattress, she was too busy to tell me it had to be paid off in 12 months. Little details. On this final visit, an excellent employee named Charlene really tried and found my correct comforter. The credit department needs to be revamped to get intelligent people who are nice instead of hanging up on the sales person. Since my sale of $344.00 was cancelled; no doubt I'll be charged a list amount because of the greed. Time to go to Dillards. With Macy's attitude, I'm sure they will go bankrupt in the...
Read moreI had an unpleasant experience today in the perfume section. I was in the Magnolia brand section and I tried 3 different types of that perfume on my skin (because some perfumes on my skin tend to quickly fade away, I always try them on my skin). Suddenly a senior lady with blond hair approached with a serious face and not welcoming tone and asked if I needed help, like she wanted me to know that she was watching me! I was seriously considering buying one of those 3 and was undecided between them and wanted to give them some time to see how they were going to be on my skin. I felt a bit offended. I understand that some people may misuse this but the lady should always keep in mind that not everybody is like that. It was obvious that I was not one of those, because I had stayed there for a long time thinking about the one that I wanted to buy. If it was not the case, I probably would have left quickly. Also, I had a big shopping bag from Macy's that I had purchased today. Anyway, with all due respect, please be mindful of...
Read moreWould love to shop at a staple department store in Evansville. The staffing is incredibly too sparse. There is very few cashiers, no assistance on the floor. The cashier that was helpful was very polite but we still couldn’t find the item we were looking for. We then went to jewelry department. While being assisted with intent to make a couple hundred dollar purchase the clerk (male) left us to size a watch. While doing this there were two people attending to the customer who bought the watch and even after we asked if the other attendant could help us she would not. It was a horrible experience. It is the holiday season and the the staff should be plentiful. We left and went to Dillard’s. We had excellent customer service and found our items. Disappointed in the experience at Macy’s. Management is poor. The cashiers in women’s dept were swamped. Numerous customers complaining. Create improved support for your employees and customers and staff appropriately during...
