Friendly, well-curated local bookstore. Surprisingly well-stocked, fun to browse, with knowledgable staff who enjoy talking about the books and can make an intelligent recommendation. Occasionally has local authors, poets, music. Sometimes, local bookstores are just spaces with books, a little markup, and a cash register-- sometimes, they meet up to all your hopes for what a locally-owned business should/can be-- YBB is the latter.

Read moreExtremely welcoming, friendly place. Great selection and more than happy to custom order something not currently available. Last time I was in someone was placing an order for specific volumes of a manga on a tight deadline and the cashier laid out the entire process to they would get the book on time, even if it meant that person ordered directly from the supplier instead of YBB.
If you CAN pay in cash I recommend doing so. It's possible to pay by card but their current point-of-sale system is a little finnicky and can act up at random moments in a purchase.

Everyone I’ve ever interacted with there is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is everything you could ask for from a local bookshop.
