I have had nothing but positive experiences shopping at Kirkland's. The city I live in doesn't have this store, but in the last few months I have purchased 4 furniture items from Kirkland's (3 from the Rochester, NY store and 1 from Marlton, NJ). All items were worth the wait and drive. Theresa,, the manager of the Marlton store was WONDERFUL!! During CoVid I bought an end table online, however it appeared that it was only available at the Marlton store and I live 6 hours away. When I called Theresa the manager to explain that I would have to wait until I felt safe about travel and CoVid etc., she informed me that she saw my order along with where I live and she had already called stores closer to me looking for the stand with no luck. How nice is that! She also told me not to worry she would hold onto the stand for however long it took for me to arrange pick up. If that wasn't enough at a later date after having held on to the stand for 2 months she offered to drive half way and meet my son for pick up when he was going to be in Northern NJ. Read moreThe worst customer service from a Store Manager!! I ordered an on line item from Kirkland's that I wanted to return. The customer service center said I could take it to the local Kirkland's store. When I called the store the employee that answered was abrupt asking if I had fabric because they could not take that back and to just put a label on the order and return it by mail. It was later obvious that the employee that answered the phone was the Store Manger. I was not given an opportunity to explain or asked clarifying questions. That should have been a flag to call a different store. The experience of returning the item was painful but dealing with a rude, overbearing Store Manager was the worst. I understand that these are trying times and that patience is wearing thin, but that is no cause for a business to have rude customer service. The Manager of this store needs Customer Service training or perhaps a...
Read moreI don't understand why every employee in every Kirklands is so rude. I've been to Marlton and Deptford in the past two months and the dismissive, rude, nature of every employee is unacceptable. Do they train you to be this way? Do you hate your job? Or do you just hate the customers? You should be lucky you even have a job in retail this day and age, let alone customers that come in to shop. Maybe it's just me... but between the rudeness of the staff and the poor quality of their items, I will no longer...
