I will NEVER RETURN to the HOME DEPOT in Ewing again! I’ve gone to Home Depot in Ewing about 6 times in the past two months because I’m remodeling and keep finding that I need to add on material. The last couple of times that I’ve been in the paint section, I’ve noticed a worker who was not wearing a mask over his mouth. He will keep it on his chin or under his chain. I noticed that he would talk directly in his coworkers face without his mask on while they wore their mask. Although it made me uncomfortable, I never said anything to him or anyone else about it because he wasn’t assisting me and I didn’t have to be within 6 feet of him. All that changed today. Today he was the only person in the paint department when I first arrived at the store, because I wanted black paint and he was the only person there, I decided to just try to find a premixed black rather than getting his assistance to get the BEHR MARQUEE product that I’ve been getting the past couple of weeks. Once I saw that he had passed me in the aisle and went down further, I decided to check to see if anyone else was at the front desk. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a young lady there. As I asked for her assistance, she asked him questions regarding my request and he decided to help me. That was fine except, he was trying to suggest a paint that was down the aisle and as I got closer he never put his mask over his mouth. I respectfully asked him if he could put his mask over his mouth and explained that it made me uncomfortable going into stores when people don’t have their mask on. Can you believe he had the nerve to give me an attitude and tell me that he already has the antibodies!!!! First of all you are an employee representing Home Depot, so if a customer is uncomfortable with something that you’re doing, you should at a minimum respect her feelings and try to make sure that they’re comfortable in your store! Second of all, we’re in the middle of a pandemic! It’s people like him, who feel that they are immune to this virus that ends up spreading it to people and killing them! I’ve worked in the Covid Department in the hospital and watched as patients die because of getting infected with Covid! SO I DONT CARE IF YOU THINK YOURE IMMUNE OR NOT! YOU MADE ME FEEL UNSAFE AND I ASKED YOU FOR THE SAME COMMON CURTESY I GAVE YOU!!! RESPECT MY FEELINGS AND RIGHT TO FEEL SAFE IN YOUR STORE AND PUT YOUR MASK ON WITHOUT BEING RUDE!!!!!! After he made his comment about how he already had the Virus a couple months back , he tossed the sample size paint on the shelf and told me he was gonna leave it right there. Right there is where it stayed. I decided to take my swiffer item to the register, paid for it, and walked out the doors NEVER TO RETURN TO EWING HOME DEPOT AGAIN! I rather drive a half an hour to Lowe’s and be treated respectfully then seven minutes to Home Depot and catch the coronavirus because of workers who don’t care about respecting the safety and lives of their customers!...
Read moreReally bad Home Depot experience today. Was looking for a wheel barrow and none of my local Home Depot's had any. Finally found one but it was at a Home Depot in PA - 40 minutes from home. Bought it online - the website indicated 6 in stock. Later in the day, drove the 40 minutes, stood in a crazy long customer service line for another 20 minutes, and when my turn came, they told me they have no wheel barrows. Totally wasted a big chunk of my day. Not only was the website wrong, but you would think that when you order something for pickup at a store, that store would get that info and reach out to tell you that don't have any since obviously I was going to come get it - had to enter all the info (credit card and all) to place the order. The customer service person did not seem surprised that the inventory info was wrong. If that is the case, then my suggestion to Home Depot is DO NOT LET PEOPLE PLACE ORDERS for items that may not be in stock. Instead, show a message like "Call store to see if they have this in stock", which is what I will do from now on. Home Depot - please realize that a lot of other businesses can get this "Quantity in Stock" thing right. You may want to work on it before losing...
Read moreI went to the Olden Ave Home Depot today 8/13 to look for glazier points. I didn't know where they were so I asked an employee who initially didn't know what I wanted but he looked it up and he took me to the location and I got them. He was very helpful and we had a bit of a laugh when he said that he had learned something and I was the first person to ask for them that he knew of. Not too much call for glazier point these days I suppose. Anyway I also wanted to get some vegetable seeds but most places put them away at this time of year. I asked a Home Depot clerk in the hardware area and he thought they might be in a certain place but when we got there they weren't. Anyway I decided they probably didn't have any but I asked the check out woman and she tried to tell me where they were when the first person I asked ran up to me and said he found where the display was and took me over. The point is all the people I talked to when I went to this Home Depot seemed very interested in helping me, something that I haven't noticed everywhere. The typical response in most places is to give you an answer more to get rid of you rather than actually help you. Anyway a bit long winded...
