Food Depot — Local services in Fairburn

Honestly, this is an older Food Depot, the parking lot is very packed all the time and it's hard to get in and out because people are always trying to get the spaces at the front, the buggies are right at the door so there's just so much commotion right at the only entrance that they have. And then you walk in the store and you have to walk all the way around all this food that's an L shape just to get to cash register and their cigarettes are like $2 more than anywhere else out. They do offer cash back and they don't charge for it but they make up for it with the cigarette sells I guess. Anywhere else would have charged a dollar or a dollar fifty and I had already drove out of my way so,. I just got them and I'll know better next time. The cashier had no knowledge of where the cigarettes were, obviously she was new and she asked the bag boy if he could please go find out where the cigarettes were and he Shrugged his shoulders and said something but he did not move and that's when she walked away to go figure out where the cigarettes were and to get the right cigarettes and behind me, I heard these two white girls talking about how they only have $15 with a baby and how it's not fair how I guess the baby's father can go out and spend all his money that he makes on Xanax something else and she said, I don't do that but yet I'm walking up here to a cash register with only $15 to my name. I really did feel bad for her because I'm a single mom and my husband was on drugs but I don't think that I would talk about it in public like that. So, that just kind of shows you the area that it's in, people just don't really care. Food (Hood) Depot This store is ridiculous in customer operations. You can’t get in the door for person stocking bread. As you get to the produce dept. check your produce, a lot of it is spoiled (tomatoes, grapes all berries etc.) as you watch them put it on the shelf. Although the meats are pretty decent, the men in the meat dept. can’t work for looking at the butts of every woman that walk by. They have the music blasting sky high on occasion & as you are shopping & you hear that famous hood line (register 2 is open, no line no wait) – whatever happened to “Attention Food Depot customers, for your convenience, register 2 is now open”. This is due to no direction of the mgt. team, especially the short white guy. I call him (dum dum). I so want to go to Publix & shop, but they are too high priced (for me), so I do the next best thing. I shop at the Food Depot in Newnan. They are very very professional. That's because most of their staff are adults (no millenniums ). I used to shop at the Fairburn location 2-5 times a week. Now I only shop there 3-5 times a month & only if I forget a critical food item. They get a 1 star because they do show up for work &...

Worst customer service ever....I just left and all their employees suck really bad. You know it's thanksgiving week and black Friday so you have to be prepared for crowds. They also was false advertising...they said if anyone spent over 25 dollars get a Turkey for 48 cents a pound...I get to the register and the cashier said she knew nothing about it so I asked the Manager a short white guy and he said they were not doing no such thing. I still paid for my stuff and called the store when I went outside and re asked about the promotion. The person on the phone said yes they were still doing the special so I told them I had just left and they said they were not running the special anymore. The person on the phone then said they automatically run as 48 cents a pound regardless and I was like we'll why they just didn't say that but before I could finish my sentence they hung up on me. I will never go back to food depot ever and never recommend anyone...
