The rating should be -1. I stopped on the way home, ordered 2 piece fish combo and 15 wings, spent $27. When I got home and tasted the wings, realized the flavor I ordered was incorrect. I called back and told them. The helper said “come back”. I let her know I just walked in from work and that wasn’t going to happen. She said okay, took my name and told me they would replace the order. I went back the same day a couple hours later. The helper took my receipt to the back. The owner came out and asked me when did I place the order? I responded your receipt should be time stamped- look at it. He asked why did I wait so long to come back and did I have the food? That was it! I was so frustrated. I had the food, but it was an insult and inappropriate. They took my money, gave me the wrong order, inconvenienced me, wasted my time and gas, then had the nerve to ask why I took so long to come back.. Like I’m on their schedule. Adding insult to injury asked where was the food. I got the food went back inside and dumped it on the counter. The owner went off. Yes, that was a bit much but, I wanted to ensure they weren’t going to serve it to someone else. I’m sure that’s unacceptable in the food/ restaurant industry. I had my receipt! From the outside, it has the appearance of an old, run-down house, and the interior reflects the same dated and worn down condition. The seating was limited and not particularly comfortable, and the overall ambiance felt more neglected than charming.
As for the food, it wasn’t very impressive. The wings lacked flavor, and the fish was a bit overcooked and greasy. The presentation was minimal, and it didn’t seem like much effort was put into the overall dining experience. However, despite the food being underwhelming, the staff was extremely nice very welcoming, polite, and attentive throughout the visit.
One positive note is that they had a 100 on their food safety score, which was reassuring given the condition of the building. I ordered my wings through door dash and I asked them to prepare them a special. I asked for my wings to be crispy because I have a phobia of food not being done. So when ordering my food in the app, it ask you to leave notes for the cook, so I did that. I also called in to make sure it was done right. To my surprise, it was not. I explained to the person on the phone that my order has notes attached to it and I would like my food how I ordered it. The person on the phone told the owner that my food was wrong and she proceeded to ask him what she should tell me. Basically he said he was not remaking and that I had to take what they had. I then told her that I did not want the food if it is not going to be correct and was told he didn’t care. I will never order from them again.
