La Costa Tacos Y Mariscos — Restaurant in Fairburn

I was in the mood for some Tacos and didn’t want to travel too far. I discovered La Costa Tacos y Mariscos by doing a search on Yelp. Yelp takes such good care of my hunger searches. LoL!!

La Costa Tacos y Mariscos sits in the strip mall behind the BP. The location is in the back corner so make sure you’re on the lookout for it as it’s possible to pass it by accident… I walked in taking in the authentic cultural ambiance. The location is small, however, they made great use of the space. There are a few High Top 2 seaters towards the front and some booth style seating towards the back.

As I explored the menu I was pleased to see the variety of options. There is something for any food needing mood. I decided on the #1 which is 2 Tacos with Rice and Beans. Please note, the beans are Refried Beans and not the usual Black beans I’m accustomed to being served as a side.

I chose to go with the Steak Tacos and I am pleased with my decision. To note, the tacos only come with the corn shell. The steak was perfectly done and well seasoned. The tacos are meaty and very filling. The tacos alone get a 7/10 from me. They really carried the combo for me… The rice was rice. Nothing special about it, minimal seasoning but goes well mixed with the beans or added to the taco. The rice by itself gets a 3/10 from me. The refried beans were standard and used as an additive to my rice and filler to my tacos. LoL!! The salsa provided was mild and fresh. It had the authentic salsa flavoring and went great with everything on my plate.

The service was pleasant and friendly, and the establishment was super clean.

Overall, I would recommend La Costa Tacos y Mariscos if you are in the mood for Mexican and want it quick. I would use this as a lunch pick up option when...

Ya no trabaja el muchacho que siempre estaba alli de cajero. Hoy llame para ordenar y la senora que contesto fue muy grosera. Mala actitud. Cuando pregunte si habia otra persona para mejor Venice esos dias, ella me pregunto porque. Le esplique mi razor y se Rio, "Yo soy la dueña y no me importa". Ultima vez que vengo a Comer. El Lano esta mejor que aqui. Alli si dan servicio al cliente

The cashier that used to work here isn't employed any longer. Since then, customer service and hours of operation have changed. I placed a pick up order and was told immediately if I was going to pick it up before closing with a nasty attitude. It was 630pm. I understand the need to go home but that isn't my problem. Google says that business hours are until 9pm. Sign at the location also says that. I arrived 8 mins later to pick up my food. I asked the cashier what happened to the young man that used to work there. She said he no longer works there and why am I asking. Well I complained about the way she answered which she replied "I am the owner and so what". Last time I will buy from here. such a shame since the food is great. She should be thankful her cook hasn't quit. Got home and got the wring order. Called back but no answer after 6:50pm.. Go to El Lano. Way better food and way better...

This fast food joint is NOT for me! I went there with some folks who normally buy food at this place. There is seating for about 8 people. Anyone else in the store would hwve to stand. That would be only 4 people at the counter. We all ordered fried fish, whitings. It came with two sides. I ordered fries, green beans and mac and cheese. The fish was not seasoned and the sides were VERY SALTY. They need to have low sodium choices because hypertension is a problem for MANY folks these days. There also needs to be a person working at this place who can SPEAK both English and Spanish. The Spaniah people working at the counter do not understand English so good. They gave us a wrong order and had the nerve to tell us that we did not explain the order a certain way to her. NO! She did not understand English and said "yes" to make it seem like she understood. STOP the lies and just say you don't understand. She dropped her pride though and changed the order ro make it right. That was the right thing to do. She knew she was wrong. Anyway, this food is not the healthiest and the workers at the counter need to learn to speak FLUENT English. It is muy importante when taking orders for food. Folks want EXACTLY WHAT THEY...
