I started taking lessons here about 4 months ago and it has helped me tremendously. Previously I tried teaching myself by watching videos online but ended up getting literally nowhere time and time again to the point of giving up completely. I decided to take the plunge to get lessons and I'm so glad I found this shop.

My instructor is Jae Kim and I cannot speak highly enough of this man. Jae is very patient, understanding and adjusts his teaching to your skill level - and most importantly very knowledgeable. My lessons include repetitions from prior lessons and just building upon that until you are ready for the next skillset to learn. If there are days when my practice sessions are not great, we'd go back and redo the fundamentals to fix what went wrong. It is not linear progression where you come to class expecting to learn new things every class - you will be taught something new when you're ready for it. Sometimes you have ups and downs and Jae teaches you accordingly based on how you're doing. The biggest benefit is getting instant feedback because he observes you and tells you what you did wrong and how to fix it. And he'll gladly repeat things if it's needed. I also appreciated being able to get in touch with him outside of class with any questions I have and he would respond.

This review has been a long time coming as I should have written this a while back but I needed to give Jae the credit and recognition he deserves. If you're ever struggling to learn the game like I was for several years, take the step and get lessons. Golf is such a hard sport that any lessons will do you wonders. OK, my wife came back home crying from her golf lesson with Sung (Mr. Moon), who is a teaching pro in the center. Here is what happened: The instructor told my wife to change swing form a bit and my wife questioned because the swing instruction has changed since the last time. And then, he went ballistic and yelled at her saying nobody had questioned his instruction before. My wife didn't want to quit the lesson and tried to end the conversation in a good term, but the instructor pretty much said that "I'll give you the tuition back. Take the money and leave". There were many other instructors and students but it didn't matter to him and he kept yelling. Since this is so unfair and my wife was insulted in public, at minimum I want to complain here and make sure that other people know what happened. I’ve been taking lessons with Chung Kim over the last several weeks. Kim completely changed my mechanics, swing and grip. I was skeptical of changing everything I knew about golf but Kim has guided me every step of the way with patience and amazing coaching qualities. Although i’m only training with Kim, i’ve gotten to know some of the other instructors as well and all are eager to help out and make sure i’m comfortable and confident in my swing.
