While I was delighted with my purchase and the customer service I received, I believe that the store could benefit from offering comparisons to other brands for a more informed decision-making process.
Club Fitting and Knowledgeable Staff: From the moment I walked into the PXG store, I was greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff who seemed genuinely passionate about golf. Went in for a fitting for irons/wedges. Found a set I really liked, but knew the new models were coming out soon. Told my fitter (Joe) that I'll buy them, but want to wait until the price drops in a few weeks. Joe insisted on closing the deal and assured me a future refund would be "easy - we do it all the time" once the new models drop. I was hesitant, but went ahead and made the purchase...trusting Joe.
When I go back to FFX to get the refund, it's denied. Staff is rude. Spent 30 min waiting arond and talking to several people, as I was told NO multiple times. Frustrated, I called corporate to see if they could reconcile things based on the facts...but they had no desire to help either - just quoted some corporate policies as to why they couldn't help. Never once did they acknowledge/accept the lies or the shady sales tactics @ FFX.
After commenting on some of PXG's social media ads, they offered me a "complimentary fitting due being unable to offer price changes".
"Hey, we lied to you in order to close a deal -- but to make up for it, come on back out and get fitted to buy some more of our products." Another example of PXG being out of touch.
Through all of this, PXG has repeatedly failed to acknowledge that my fitter manipulated/lied to me for his own personal benefit to get the immediate sell. I don't dispute that it was out of policy (although I didn't know it at the time) -- but that's what he told me and that's what we agreed to. Otherwise I would've happily waited a few more weeks.
Corporate blames/deflects to the store (saying they have the final say), and the store recites corporate policies, acting like their hands are tied. Does the fitter/store have the final say? Or do they have to follow corporate policies? It's one or the other. However, I do know that either group could make things right - but both choose not to.

Read moreJust took my new 0311’s for a test drive at the range. Irons and wedges even better than expected. The black ops 3hy 3w insane. The driver blew me away, I’ve never hit a more forgiving driver. I could barely mis-hit that thing on purpose. The ball carried forever and then some. I was hitting baby fades and draws at will, with crappy range balls. How about the looks too??? I got the chrome irons and they are absolutely gorgeous. The black ops woods just pop when you take the head cover off. The whole setup is incredible and I can’t see anyone having buyers remorse with these things. I can’t wait to get on the course with a legit ball and really see what these things can do. The whole experience in choosing these clubs was world class. Tim G, was my fitter and he took his time explaining the whole process and really worked with me in finding the right setup. He was great to work with in person and over the phone. I really can’t thank him and the entire PXG Fairfax team enough. The experience was second to none and I’d recommend anybody considering a club upgrade to check this team out.
