My wife and I went in this evening to pick up some tea and macarons. According to the receipt, we were "helped" by Abraham, and I use that word loosely. At first when we told him we wanted to get a bunch of macarons, he seemed hesitant to even want to help. He also made it sound as if going to go in the back and check if there were more of a particular flavor was a burden on him, as if it was some inconvenience. After paying he asked us if we wanted macaron boxes, to which we said yes, and then asked if we wanted him to put our purchased macarons into the boxes. After being told yes, his shoulders sank, he sighed, and said without attempt to hide it under his breath, "It's going to take forever."
I understand when someone is having a bad day that they may unknowingly take it out on others but his lack of respect for his job's duties and to my wife and I as customers was absolutely deplorable. After sharing what he said with my wife and telling him to not worry about the boxes, she said to him "Sorry to inconvenience you." He replied, simply, "It's ok."
Kokee Tea was a highlight for us whenever coming to Fairfax but after this last visit I have no intention of ever returning, nor recommending it to my friends. If anything I will be certain to make sure others understand the level of "service" they can expect from...
Read moreOne of my favorite places for boba. I come here about 2-3 times a month and have been doing so since 2019, so I can say the service varies. I've had nice cashiers and rude ones too, and sometimes I've been told that cash is accepted, while other times I am told that they are not taking cash. Personally, if cash is not accepted, there should be a policy stating that. My favorite thing to get from here is probably the jasmine milk tea or the thai tea. The virgin mojitos are also pretty good along with Georgia on My Mind. Chocolate tea is a bit meh, and the brown sugar tea is a bit overly sweet. I miss the mochi donuts that they used to sell, but the cream croffle is just as amazing.
I love this place so much, and it always perks me up after...
Read moreThe male staff there was pretty bad. I gave them a very specific instructions on the drink I wanted. (Which ironically was told by female staff that told me what I should do the last time I visited that store) this was not the first time this will happen since it's always back and forth like this. The customer service should be same level. Not based on who works there. I've been going there for the last few years and I was trying to be reserved about the place but the service is so wishy washy based on which employee is manning the front. Usually I like my drink specific and once it's made that way, I'd prefer it for a while. I'm so disappointed to the point I might just go elsewhere for a drink. This is not the only option on this...
