honeygrow — Restaurant in Fairfax

I love Honegrow but this new location has something wrong, i have started going here because its closest to where i live but very disappointed. I went twice to this place and they messed up my order both time.

They swapped sesame garlic sauce with spicy garlic this time they just swapped the entire noodle base from ww noodles to egg noodles. horrible!!

I will keep coming here couple of more times to see if you guys improve because i want to give benefits of doubt given you are a new place. My advice is take some time in processing the order to make sure you get it right, thanks!

I wasn't too impressed with the look of the bowl until I tried a bite. It was really fresh and tasted amazing. I figured I'd try the salad bowl instead of the stir-fried noodles I saw first on the menu. I made a good choice. The ingredients were of quality. I felt so healthy eating it, but then I got to the dessert.

The cheesecake berry bowl steals the show for me. I'll be back just for this. It tastes like a heavy whipped cream with cream brulee and cheesecake infused. So amazing.

The staff tried hard to pronounce my name on her own. I thanked her for trying, but corrected her. They were all friendly, and I didn't have to wait too long at all. I saw a few folks enjoying the seating inside. The designs inside are clean and modern.

Coming back for stir fries and more cheesecake...

This was my second time trying honeygrow, but the first time at this brand new location. The ordering process is done through the kiosk. You can build your own bowl or choose a preset meal and the workers will make it after payment goes through. I got the sesame garlic stir fry. In my opinion, the food was all a bit too sweet and salty. It seems like a Chinese inspired health conscious menu, but it was lacking a lot of flavor profile. The flavors were too simple and not developed. The sweetness of the sauce overpowered everything and while I could hear them using a pan to cook, there was no wok hei involved.
