Any Excuse for a Party really flubbed the Verona Halloween event this year. There were 20 people waiting in line for the bounce house for 30 minutes and the staff shut it down and deflated it without warning, leaving dozens of screaming, crying kids in front of the ride with their shoes off and all ready to go.

Josh, Scott, and their team had plenty of time to let people who were waiting know that the ride was shutting down, but the ride attendant just stood there on his phone the entire time. There was no warning before he locked up the ride and turned it off and a lot of kids who were waiting a half hour didn't get to go on the ride. Several parents pointed out the huge line of kids waiting but he just shrugged and walked away.

We talked to the Verona police department, but they weren't able to do anything. We are planning to talk to Chris Tamburro and the rest of Verona Council next to make sure they're aware of the issue before they hire the company again.

The staff were extremely rude, leading me to wonder if there's been a change in management at the company. I can't believe after building decades of good will in North Jersey that Tomianne would jeopardize all of that by hiring on staff that behaves like this. You can see how rude Josh is in the video. The staff on site would not listen to reason, wouldn't put a manager on the phone with me to resolve this and were just plain rude. All they had to do was turn the ride back on for a few minutes for a bunch of crying kids. It's crazy they wouldn't do that.

I know a lot of local colleges and towns hire "Any Excuse...," but that won't keep happening once word gets out. There were a lot of really angry parents and sad children in line for the ride and this is now their impression of the company that they're going to take back to their organizations. Hopefully Tomianne will do the right thing and make some staffing changes to ensure this never happens again. I look forward to hearing how the company plans to...

I work for a college in NYC and booked Any Excuse for a Party for a welcome event specifically for new students. The event was huge and spanned three floors, however the staff for Any Excuse was amazing. They arrived on time, we had ZERO issues with the equipment/rentals and they were flexible with us when we had to move some last minute things around. I rented black/led lighting, a bead table and Nintendo games and I was all the way in love with everything, it turned out so perfect! Also, Louis, who books the events, was flexible with the budget and was able to work with me to find a price point that fell within my budget and was a reasonable price for their services. The three staff that were assigned to work with us for that day were so great that next time I book with this company I want them to work with me again!! The staff was super kind, professional, easy going and hard working. Could NOT possibly have had a better experience with a vendor!!! Will book Any Excuse...

One star is one too many, but unfortunately zero doesn’t appear to be an option here. This was literally the most unprofessional company I’ve ever worked with - their products are cheap, you won’t get to see the exact products (centerpieces, games, etc) until you show up to your event - and find yourself wholly disappointed. The owner acknowledged many of the embarrassing myriad of mistakes made at our event - yet gave us back almost nothing by way of refund for an event her people ruined. If you are considering using Any Excuse For a Party - run the other way while you can. I wish I had. Nearly $10,000...
