We used Lumber Liquidators in Fairfield, NJ for our first floor laminate. The floors came out great! I was very pleased that we chose LL for our floors. LL made the entire process very easy for me as a customer. We started with the website, which is very helpful for tips, ideas, prices and inventory. The sales rep we worked with in Fairfield was friendly, very knowledgeable and helped to manage our expectations effectively. The manager, Sheril, was an absolute pleasure to work with as well. We had a few challenges with our first "general contractor"/installer so we came back loaded with questions and looking for additional materials. Sheril did everything she could to make sure that our project was a success (short of installing it herself). We ended up using a true flooring company instead of the initial "general contractor" . The flooring company did a much better job and had the project done in half the time - lesson for those looking to hire a "general contractor". You are better off getting experts. I would highly recommend using the LL in Fairfield, NJ for the excellent customer service. The place gets busy and they work very efficiently to handle the volume, just expect a fast paced no BS outfit. But in my opinion, that's a good thing - they are busy for a reason. We purchased just under 6,000 dollars in hardwood flooring. A high amount of the wood was damaged. Quality control is very very poor. We had wood with orange marker lines in them that were urethaned over.An entire box was planed at about a 4mm higher height making them unusable. Many were cracked, twisted,warped,chipped and dented. I brought back a sample of the useless wood back to the store, about a half a box but I had much more, I just wanted them to see it. When I brought it in the guy was surprised with lots of wow comments. He said he would contact his corporate office about this and I would get a reimbursement of some kind. My wife and I recently purchased new floors for our house and they are absolutely amazing. Not only did the store have such wide range of floors to choose from but the staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Able to get the amount we needed from another store and they arrived very quickly. They went above and beyond to give us the best possible deal on not just the floors but when I needed to come back for moldings and thresholds they did everything they could to give us the best deal on those as well
