This was a great experience! I’m not one to spend money on new glasses outside of what insurance covers, but this experience was so great and everything was so well explained that I actually did get some upgrades that will make my life so much easier. From the girls at the front desk to the doctor I saw (Dr.Knapp) to the girls on the floor, everyone was so nice and helpful. I didn’t realize I had two insurance plans, but the girls on the floor in the glasses room let me know and I ended up with a pair of sunglasses and a clear pair both covered under my insurance plans! Selena, one of the retail girls, helped me pick out frames what were within my budget and priced out the upgrades I wanted so I could have a clear estimate before deciding on a pair of glasses. She also helped me pick out ones that looked good on me, like having a friend with me giving their honest opinion. For the first time in my eye appointment history I spent more money than in the past, but I felt good about it because I understood exactly what I was getting and had people there to take their time fully answering my questions and help me with the whole process. I would one thousand percent recommend this place! Can’t wait to go pick up my...
Read moreI thought the staff was very friendly but my only issue was I was not informed that the retinal scan was mandatory and I had to pay for it on top of my copay. Everywhere else I have ever been, this is something that was never mandatory, but an option. I would have went elsewhere for this reason. I didn't want to spend the extra money but I was running out of time for my vision benefits and I didn't have time to reschedule elsewhere. That's my fault entirely. But they should really inform people at the time they are scheduling. They probably don't because if people knew ahead of time, they would probably lose business. Nobody likes being told this is mandatory. The staff told me this doctor requires it. His reasoning may be viable, but when you are making it not optional, I want to know who you think you are. It's not coming out of your pocket. There are plenty of options out there for getting an eye exam. I would not recommend this facility. It doesn't mean I didn't receive good treatment, I just disagree with...
Read moreThe staff was very friendly and very nice. Check in was a breeze and the waiting time was short. However, when I initially checked in I inquired about pricing and my insurance benefits w/ Aetna Preferred High option. I was told there would be no cost for my visit. After I saw the doctor I was obviously surprised when they told me my total due was $80. I have no issue with the amount of the charge, but I do have an issue with an unexpected charge. They explained the reason but what's confusing is when I initially inquired about pricing I should have been told the contacts exam was no change but the contacts fitting was a totally separate charge that not covered by insurance and for whatever reason not a part of the exam. Although the visit was pleasant I will not be returning. I do not frequent any business that is not totally upfront and clear...
