I've been here dozens of times over the last few years. I can't ever remember a time they had what we went in for. It's always my wife wanting to go here to look for kids school clothes/shoes, shoes for herself, a new dress, an outfit to attend a company dinner, a fancy dress to attend a wedding, new perfume, Christmas gifts for family members and/or our own kids. We always leave empty handed unless the kids are with us, they pick out a candy. Finally this time, my wife wanted to look for another fancy dress and shoes for an upcoming wedding we were invited to (4th one this year). She again suggested Burlington and before I could even say anything she commented "nevermind, they won't have anything". I'm pretty sure it's all stuff that didn't sell at a different store and is just purchased for pennies on the dollar and resold for a profit. While looking for school clothes we noticed so many pant legs don't match in length or seam. Just because you put a $200 MSRP tag on $25 dress doesn't make it worth $90. The stitching is also coming undone on so many things. Again, pretty sure it's B grade/rejected items. This is all my opinion based on my experiences and I invite you to visit and come to your own opinion with your own experience. That being said, the place is...
Read moreWent to Burlington in Fall River, MA this morning. When it was my turn to go to a register, I asked my cashier about a possible discount for a scuff on boots I was purchasing. She got her manager to come over and before I could speak, the manager said no to the discount. I was trying to show her the scuff Mark and she would not look. She said that the boots were made like that. I have pictures of the Mark that I was trying to show her and the rest of the boots material. She would not let me get a full sentence out. She continued to say the same thing about how the boots were made and no discount. I asked her if she would let me talk and she rolled her eyes and nodded. I spoke, still trying to show her the scuff Mark on the toe on the left boot, but she was not interested. As soon as I finished, she repeated herself about got the boots were made and no discount. Awful customer service. If she would have looked at what I was showing her and let me talk, and still said no, that would have been fine. But the interrupting, facial expressions, eye rolling⦠that is not how you handle customers. Not happy with this service, especially while spending almost $200...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went during a busy afternoon and stumbled across a piece of very damaged furniture (a lamp table with a broken leg, with a poor attempt at repair to cover it up) I liked. It was too busy to expect a manager to be available to discuss a discount, so I came back late in the evening when they weren't busy.
There was an associate, who was extremely polite and helpful, that I asked to get a manager so I could discuss the price of the item. She called for him, but he apparently couldn't be bothered to come and just asked her to describe the issue and said they would give a 30% discount. If anyone buys this with the poorly repaired leg that is barely attached for anything close to the price they are asking they are getting ripped off.
Just the fact that the manager wouldn't address the issue when I intentionally came in at a time they wouldn't be busy left a really sour taste...
