I called over a week prior to order pizza for my son’s bday. I was passed around on the phone (no one could take a simple order : one cheese, one pepperoni, and one buffalo chicken party pizza) finally to speak with a woman who seemed to get the order right and charged my card on the spot for three large party pizzas. I said I would pick them up at 11am on 9/23 ( the day of the party) . They agreed and said no problem!
Fast forward to last night (because I felt uneasy being passed around to several people on the original call) I called to confirm an 11am and change the pickup to a delivery (the delivery location was only 10 minutes up the road from their business) again to only be passed to three different people on the phone. But it was confirmed and they said no problem.
Today the party started and I’m waiting 10 minutes late , 15 minutes late, 20 minutes late and still no delivery. I called their phone number a good 6 times and no one answerd. So I leave the party that I’m hosting with almost 50 guests and drive to Boston Pizza. As I’m pulling up so is a woman and a young man are getting out of their car to open the restaurant. I told them I had a 11am delivery but you never showed or answered my call. So I said I’m here to pick up the pizza. They told me that it hasn’t been put in the oven yet and will be ready in “7 minutes”. I said I’m going to go back to my son’s party and if they could deliver it that would be ideal. This was at 11:30. So I’m back at the party completely embarrassed that there is no food and still by almost noon there is no delivery snd no call. So I call and ask and they say they will be there soon. The young man on the phone said we are giving you free drinks for this inconvenience. Finally the pizza arrives and the driver again says here is the free drink. I ordered 3!party pizzas and they give us one bottle of Pepsi.
Now here is the kicker. The driver says you owe me $13. I said for what?? He said a $3 delivery charge and you owe me a $10 tip. I was going to tip him regardless but you’re telling me I have to tip you $10. I was in shock that they were asking me for more money after I paid over $100 for 3 party pizzas that were over an hour late and I had to chase them around and physically go there myself and knock on their locked door and leave my sons party…
I should have be refunded for something for having to track them down and that I was super embarrassed in front of all of my guests. Do the right thing Boston Pizza you have my phone number and my credit card number. This was your...
Read moreUPDATE: Second order. Food tastes great so ordered again but unfortunately received the wrong food for the second time. Also was under the impression I was getting a small cheese Pizza for spending more than $25, as per their website, didn't receive. When I called to address the wrong food received they offered to send the correct food and made sure to tell me they would be taking back the wrong food that was delivered. I asked them about the website and small cheese pizza and they said you need to apply it to your online order to receive, funny thing is there is NO option to do that on their website. You would think since they were coming back with the right food they would also bring the small cheese. Nope. Unfortunately will not be ordering from them again, I'll stick with Atlas who gets the food correct every time and automatically honors their small cheese promo without playing games. Food arrived fast, hot, and was delicious. Cheese pizza is really good and they have a promo on their website where you get a free small with order over certain $ amount. The Steak and cheese was ordered with extra mayo, extra cheese but felt pretty light over all compared to similar eateries. The potato skins were really good but I did not order them.. we ordered cheesy bacon fries but were delivered skins instead. The chicken alfredo over all was very good but it would be incredible if they did a homemade thicker sauce. It was very thin sauce. I would skip the cheese bread sticks next time and just do a small cheese pizza instead, very similar but the pizza was better. Buffalo Chicken dinner very good. Large flat tenders. We ordered a brownie for dessert and received a piece of cheesecake. So a couple errors but overall would...
Read moreI'll begin by saying I'm the furthest type from 'native' as possible, to Fall River and it's surrounding places. I've lived here 2 yrs now and have benched heavily on my "foodie" personality, as I'm not quite the standard here outside of that - food is always a good medium.
I'd recently (a couple of mo's ago) stumbled on this place and gave them a call and was NOT disappointed. I've made it my business to try and order something new everytime since and have not gotten ANYTHING lackluster.
I've always order delivery.. today when I heard the usual friendly voice, I requested a pick up order - I needed to grace the place. I wanted a glimpse inside and to tip the operator personally. All It was like meeting an old friend 😁 Sohaer is her name. She is an amazing personality and vital to that operation SURELY(I serve in managerial position myself). All she asked me for was this review.
