I occasionally patronize the businesses in this plaza, but only if I'm in a pinch. It's a REALLY tired looking space - in fact one store in particular has the same doors that were present when I was a kid (let's just say - more than 30 yrs ago - when Sears Outlet used to be Edgars Dept. Store). That I can live with - it's just aesthetics, but this plaza has the worst parking lot imaginable. People drive every which way, because no islands were put in anywhere to differentiate parking from travel areas, and there are businesses not only in the main plaza itself, but several fast food joints and smaller stores sprinkled along the front of the property. I feel like I'm taking a chance as to whether or not my car will get dinged by someone driving in any other direction to get to their destination more quickly, and not on the poorly painted single travel lane that straddles between the main plaza building and the smaller stores, and has large speed bumps that most people avoid by driving around them (again - no way to corral cars to keep to the single travel lane). There are four entrances and exits in the front and sides of the property, and then it's a free for all as far as where cars will go after entering. The property owners can and should do better....
Read morePretty good shopping center here. Lots of parking. Great selection of stores. And an amazing selection of restaurants. Pretty much everything you need here. Unfortunately Southcoast Plaza across the way is brand new, and poaching some of their stores. This place is quite old, and needs to step up their game. A lot!
I sincerely hope the owners of this shopping center are aware of this. And decide to rebuild it. The parking lot needs a lot of work. And the buildings are ancient. If they plan to compete into the future. They better do this. They also had better take heed of the other plaza across the way that was almost sold at a foreclosure auction this past week. If they don't redo this place. They'll lose more, and more stores. Can't pay your bills if the rents aren't coming in, after all.
That being said. If you're looking to go shopping for the day. I definitely recommend going here. Between this, and the other stores in the area. There's a great selection of everything. And it's right off the highway. And if you're on Aquidneck Island. This is the closest place to shop. That's not expensive. Prices on the island are ridiculous. I do most of my shopping in Fall River to face money. You...
Read moreThis shopping center has a variety of stores you can go too and if your looking for a supermarket, Stop and Shop is around the back. Sears outlet is a great place to go if your looking for appliances for your home and the service there is great . Very helpful and polite and great prices with up to 40%-50% off certain things. Great variety of refrigerator's. This shopping center also has Rainbows and I recommend that store to anyone , any shape or size. They have junior sizes and it goes up to plus size so it's great. Shoe's, dresses , undies , perfume, and so much more. The help there was great and they also have a couple of women who speak Spanish who can help you if you need it. There's big parking out side and wheelchair parking as well. And a couple of places to eat at, such as Taco Bell and Wendy's, and more...
