Jaffa Mediterranean Grill — Restaurant in Falmouth

The new construction with glass, clean atmosphere and high ceilings is very nice. But that's pretty much where it ends --

Dinner shift is run by a bunch of bumbling idiots who drop things on the dirty floor and pick them up and put them back on the shelf, run into each other, scrape the bottoms of everything (rather than replacing with fresh), even if it's old crumbles left of the chicken scraping off the metal tin, lazy, don't answer the phone ringing off the hook - I counted 6 times! Almost hilarious to watch - like watching the Three Stooges run a restaurant.

Dinner experience didn't give the fries we ordered for 15+ minutes, I guess they forgot then found the order.

Lunch shift seems to have food prep together but greet you with Palestinian flags (removed in the afternoon for some reason?), bringing politics to the place - why be political at all? Seems rude and abrasive. Lady kept trying to input one more dish than we ordered - maybe thinking I wouldn't notice? Seemed annoyed.

Food quality seems to start good then get worse and worse throughout the day - meat isn't taken off the doner kebab machine in the rear - rather - stored in a tray to dry out throughout the day. Falafel you are lucky if it is fresh - they make large batches at once, then they just sit in trays.

I realy want to like this food, and have given it a few tries (with other people taking me, luckily, or I'd be even more angry)....

Food overall is good. However, I have tried this place twice for take out orders and both times I arrived and the orders were not prepared. I was getting lunch for a business meeting both times. The first time I arrived and the order was made from the day before (when I ordered it for the following day) they almost gave me the bag that was sitting out until someone stepped in and let me know they had to remake the whole meal. The manager/owner told me 15 minutes and it ended up taking 30. That guys was also not friendly to his staff. I made clear I had to leave and I ultimately I was late for my meeting.

The second time I ordered the day of my meeting and gave myself an hour and a half until my meeting. I arrived 30 minutes after putting in the order of 5 meals and the ticket had still not been seen. They were much faster at prepping the meal, but the staff did not apologize. In fact, they started making the meal incorrectly and when I corrected the number of lunch boxes they were not apologetic about it. Luckily, there were no other customers in line. They also never labeled the boxes so I had no idea what to offer my guests when I arrive to the meeting.

I wish the management of staff was better. I will not be coming back here for...

Have been coming here once or twice a month for payday takeaway for maybe three months since I began working half a mile away. Other reviews will tell you about the fresh and flavorful food and prices out of the 1990s and that is true! Go here for that! I want to tell you about the people that work here. After a long week at work and in my personal life my wife went to work today not feeling great. After couple hours she had to leave to go to the hospital and after several hours there she was sent home and told me that all she wanted for payday takeaway is Jaffa. And then she texted me her order: an incredibly elaborate make your own bowl that she had earned! Not wanting to screw it up I held out my phone while her custom creation was crafted exactly as she had imagined. And then, when done, I was gifted EXTRA extra falafel, no charge! I work with customers for a living and I will now endeavor to maintain the same grace and thoughtfulness with every interaction! Instead of being annoyed, the staff was attentive and straight lovely!
