2024 Updated Review: I recently visited Legato Salon & Spa of Farmington and had an incredible experience that I must share. My master hairdresser, Melissa, truly worked magic on my hair. The background, a year ago, I had a terrible experience at a different salon and my hair was bleached causing damage.

From the moment I walked into Legato Salon & Spa of Farmington, I felt welcomed and at ease. The atmosphere of the salon is both chic and comfortable, creating a perfect environment to relax and enjoy the experience.

I went in with a specific vision: I wanted my hair restored to my favorite color and a cut that suited my style. Melissa listened attentively to my needs and provided expert advice, ensuring we were on the same page before starting. Her attention to detail and genuine care for me is evident in her work. She assured me it would take time to restore my hair to my vision.

2023 Review: Farmington Legato Aveda Salon & Spa has a very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere.

Melissa was able to restore my damaged hair and restyle. I look younger and feel healthier! My hair has experienced great results with her. Over the last few weeks, I have had so many compliments on my hair health and hair style. The Aveda products they have offered are top notch! I am giving 1 star only for Julia, the manager otherwise would have given 0. Julia went above and beyond to cooperate with me and keep my request. She also assigned a new stylist for my readjustment appointment as per my request and offered a $25 credit for my next service. Having said that, my initial appointment was with Liz for partial highlights for $75 but since I have long and dense hair she gave me a quote of $200 to which we both agreed. When I came back home the next day after wash my hair looked completely different and nowhere close to the pictures. The highlights were too dense and blonde all over, felt more like a global color and definitely didn’t go with my complexion ( I have brown skin) I was confused as to why she used that much product unnecessarily, to which they said that amount of product was required for her to achieve the desired results. The next week I went back for adjustment and I was given two options- either to tone down or reduce the highlights. My point is if we have to cut down on the highlights, then Liz’s judgement to use substantial amount of product doesn’t justify. I got highlights done many times but never had such a terrific experiences. My highlights were toned down to dark brown which is not even close the pictures or desired results. They tried to lighten the color by using toner and detox shampoo which just made my hair extremely dry. After spending $230 with tip, 6 hours my hair is drier than ever and has brown/copperish weird looking highlights. I have only heard good reviews about this place and other hairstylist including Emily, Angie and Abby were trying to recover the damage as much as possible but my decision of going with Liz turned out to...

I had a haircut with Emily a while back, and it was my first time at your salon, so I didn't expect perfection. However, I told Emily it had been several months since my last haircut, and I needed quite a bit of hair cut off. She seemed very hesitant to do this,, even though i reasurred her about how I wanted ir.

She did listen to my other concerns and took a good amount of time with me, but overall, my hair was still way too long and hard to style after I left. I called to ask about having it corrected, which apparently is no charge (nice), but when I said it needed an overall re-do, I was told I would be charged the normal rate and it would be at least two weeks to get another appointment! I did get a partial 'correction', but it still wasn't right, so I have moved on....

Additionally, I like the atmosphere of the salon with the wood floors and rustic decorations. But the waiting area is very uncomfortable, with the sofas very low for someone as tall as me. I had to sit on the arm of it, so I could stand up without a lot of difficulty.!! And...I didn't even recognize her when I went in the second time, because her hair was dyed some type of odd color...it was kind of unsettling to say the least. Ant then there was the non-stop sales pitch for products I didn't need or want...
