The problem: We ordered a large cheese dip. It was $13. We also ordered a large guacamole. It was another $13. So $26 for 2 dips…. The menu said the dips were $5 a piece. The waiter said we ordered a large and so it made the price go from $5 to $13 each. I spoke with the manager Jorge, he said “do you know how much avocados cost right now”? And agreed the menu didn’t say there were different sizes of guacamole and cheese and recommended me to “call corporate”. I called another Los Tres Amigos to confirm the price. They told me the 16oz dips cost $13. Here’s a picture of the dip compared to the standard salsa bowl. Does that look like 16oz of cheese to you? Better yet, does that look like that’s $13 worth of cheese? Poor service ruins even the best of meals. I recommend that they: 1) Include ALL prices on the menu 2) Give people what they actually pay for 3) Get Jorge some management training, his poor attitude and leadership is definitely an issue according to a lot of these Google reviews.

Our order - Chile relleno and fish taco à la carte and my sister in law ordered the chicken Jalisco. After more than 30 minutes wait we were served 1/2 of our food and it was cold. We mentioned it to the waiter when he brought the rest of the food and he offered to heat the food or replace it. I had already tasted my Chile relleno and felt pretty confident that hot or cold it was not good. Our waiter gave a 20% discount. Chile Relleno - temp cold, difficult to cut chili and processed cheese. Fish taco - hot but the oil the fish was cooked in was old. Pollo Jalisco - chicken and rice cold but edible - beans were hot and served after with salad, sour cream and guacamole - instead of with chicken and rice.... To top off our horrible meal - worst chips and salsa ever.... Seriously was the salsa from a can?? I asked if they had anything spicy- I was told to add hot sauce that was all they had.

They do have one of the best ambiance I ever see in a Mexican restaurant. The place is clean and the decoration was good. We went an hour before the closing and they did accommodate all of us. The food service was good and was quick. Food - we ordered different kinds of dishes from menu and all of them were great. We loved our food and it was delicious. I ordered a chorizo chille and loved it. Drinks- ordered some margaritas and pinacoladas and felt the drinks could have been better. They dint taste good and are not worth the price. They could spend some time to rediscover there drinks recipe. Ambiance- ambiance was well decorated and loved the way they painted the tables, chairs and walls. They also have a nice outdoor seating for summer. Overall it’s a good place to eat.

Went on a Saturday eve for dinner - 3 of us on their patio. They brought chips and salsa immediately. The salsa looked like it was watered down catsup - no additives; chives, diced tomatoes, onions etc. The waitress came by to take our order. Started off with 2 Coronas which she brought with 2 warm glasses. We gave the order and waited in the meantime with no place settings and no napkins (for the salsa). As we continued to wait, a bee was buzzing our table and we constantly had to shoo it away. Finally it went to another table to hover around as those patrons shooed at it too. In the meantime we were on our second bowl of chips with the salsa running low. Still waiting, we'd consumed the beer which was intended to be with our dinner, by this time the ice had melted in our water too and was turning warm as we were on the 3d serving of chips while having to ask for more watered down salsa. Finally what seemed like an eternity (about 40 minutes), the food arrived with no silverware, had to remind them to bring it. Now the food: My wife and daughter ordered a vegetarian dish of what the menu described as a vegetarian salad and I'd ordered a steak burrito. The salad turned out to be a taco shell filled 1/4 full with nothing more than SHREDDED LETTUCE with a thin slice of tomato in the center. They both looked at and we all looked at each other in dismay - $9 for shredded lettuce. We got the manager to our table to complain. My wife showed him the portions and he offered to take it off the bill - which he did, but only for one portion. I said forget about it since we're not coming back again anyway. Now for my portion. An anemic burrito supposedly stuffed with segments of beef that were chewable like gum and gristle and served with a scoop of what was supposed to be refried beans and lord and behold, in the corner of the plate they threw on more shredded lettuce and another slice of tomato. Now the worst part. Around 6am Sunday morning my stomach wakes me up with the urge to purge. I got up and walked around a bit trying to suppress this while all along feeling very dizzy and nauseous. I managed to get back to bed and salvage some sleep. Not to get too graphic, but Montezuma's revenge set in later on and I had experienced the most awful results. It basically took me all day to recover. My wife also was overcome with the urge to purge of which it got the better of her. In summation, I find this extremely hard to believe that what we experienced as a whole; the poor service, bee, bad portions, the handling of the incident etc. was an isolated incident. Should it have been one or two incidents fine, but it wasn't. So that lend me to believe that this place is like a ticking time bomb. it will be only a matter of time before the right patron is the next victim and closes the place down. BOTTOM LINE, THEY DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN...

Wow, I have had bad experiences here at Los Trea Amigos in the past but I figured as I was having the order delivered what could really go wrong?? Well after Tonight I can confirm I definitely will never be ordering from this los Tres amigos again… Other area branches don’t seem to have the same problem which tells me this comes down to the staff here at the Farmington branch.

I ordered via DoorDash and I wanted to request no beans, no sour cream and no guacamole with my order however when I try to put in special instructions online it said that the retailer does not accept special instructions to please call after the orders placed.

So I place the order and then within two minutes when it said the order was excepted by the restaurant I called them to tell them my special request… First the woman who answered the phone couldn’t help me so she had to transfer me. This took about another three minutes so it this point we were maybe five minutes into the order… Then the man who came on the phone was ridiculously rude! He tried telling me that the order was already gone and I said that’s not possible I just placed it less than five minutes ago. He argued with me and said that it was too late for me to make any changes again says that the order was placed less than five minutes ago that there was no possible way it was ready already. He read me the order to confirm which my order was and I said yes at which point he again told me that it was too late and I didn’t need to get mad about it that I should’ve put something in an order online. Now I was frustrated but I was certainly not mad and the way that he was treating me was what was getting me frustrated. I explained to him that it would not allow me to put the order instructions in that I wanted and that it told me to call and then I called them within three minutes of the order being placed so there was no way that it was prepared and done already.

He then decided to let me tell him what I wanted change but every time I tried to get something out he would rudely interrupt me and then I would try and talk again at which point he would tell me that I was being rude and mad…

So this whole conversation took about six minutes and all I wanted to do was tell them no beans no guacamole and no sour cream.

The staff here is terrible. And this just confirmed why I will no longer support this restaurant here in Farmington. There’s far too many other restaurants out there who know what Customer Service means and they know how to take care of...

Went here for taco Tuesday, 5/14/ 2024….. WHY IS THERE A CHICKEN BONE IN MY CHALUPA?!!!!!😡 WHY!!!!!😳😳😳😳😳Tacos don’t have bones in them!!🤦🏾‍♀️

THIS WAS THE ABSOLUTE WORST MEXICAN RESTAURANT EVER!!!! From the Margarita’s to the Entrees!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! So we got there and they gave us chips and salsa. The salsa had old dried up salsa on the rim of the little glass that they gave us the salsa and yes, we should have left at that moment however, we just refrain from eating it. Order our drinks, the worst margaritas ever, complained and told them that we didn’t want it and they looked at us like something was wrong with us. It’s crazy when he explain to us that he made them himself as if that means they’re perfect . So no we don’t want this. Thank you. Order our entrées and they looked horrible. The Chalupa was not a Chalupa shell, It was an extra large taco shell that was just hard horrible and to top it off CHICKEN BONES WERE IN MY CHALUPA!!! My cousin ordered a burrito and the cheese was not even melted on it when we told the server about he came and I quote he said,” we’ll put some cheese on it and put it BACK in the microwave for you”😳😳😳 hold up you mean to tell me that you microwave those? He responded “yes that’s how we melt all our cheese.” We put all our food in the microwave….. I said no that’s not how things supposed to be so you trying to tell us that things are not made fresh here? And he looked at me baffled as if I said something foreign and crazy. I will never patronize this location ever again. When we told them, we were not pleased with the food. Do you know they proceeded to come forth with a bill? if you don’t get out my face. .. NO apologizing NOR trying to make things correct, our server decided to let us know that they have never had anyone complain about their food. I find that hard to believe and actually I really do not care. I don’t like it!!! NEVER ever go to this location. Now the one that’s in (Livonia) on Middlebelt and 5 mile superb service. Great drinks and awesome FOOD. I will go to LIVONIA

but do not go to the one on Grand River and Farmington Road...
