Me and group of Educated Black women ( 10 of us in total) visited this establishment on last Saturday for the Brunch, I arrived 1 hour prior to their arrival, to put our name on the list, because i was sure there was going to be a wait, Immediately upon arrival after being greeted by Penny and Carlos i was told they can not seat more then 8 , that is fine , we can have 2 separate tables, i could tell the irritation from Carlos, after my response. First impressions are everyt for mehing, and a customers first perception of the greeters says a lot about an establishment. Once the remaining women arrived , we were sitted 5 of us at one table, we inquired about 2 other empty tables and was told they were already spoken for . Mind you NO ONE ever sat at the tables by the time we had finally ate and left. LIAR....... Our waitress Amanda, Who was nothing but amazing asked us if the two parties were together because there was a empty booth behind our first sited group, and she tried very diligently to get us all together, but was told again by Carlos the table was spoken for. In the process of us discussing our dissatisfaction with the treatment Carlos brings his unprofessionalism over to the table, asked if we have a problem, and in the process of us pointing out how rude he and the Hostess Penny were, and the fact that he lied about the open tables he puts in hands in one of the ladies face, while she is speaking with him, she immediately asked him not to do that and his response was Well and rolled his eyes, His response and attitude was very poor . First impressions are huge. Thanks to Amanda our waitress who apologized several times for the behavior of Carlos and Amanda, but it was not her place to apologize for the bad behavior, treatment and customer service of them, I will not return to waste money to be lied to and spoken to in that matter. Management needs to send Carlos and Penny to diversity Training, they are not a good look for your establishment, I will be letting everyone I know, to avoid Mimosa in Farmington hills, the service...
Read moreMy friends & I came here for brunch for my birthday. You literally have to physically walk into the restaurant just to put your name on a list that they send you a text for when your table is ready. (Really needs to be changed to a call ahead). But that’s neither here or there.
While dining in, the waitress started out nice sorta pleasant. However, her attitude quickly changed when 1 of my guest food wasn’t what she thought it was. So when she requested it be sent back and remade MINUS the pork, there was some resistance. So the manager Carlos came over & immediately the table’s vibe shifted because we felt the irritation coming from him. His attitude was poor & his response to our complaint was sarcastically rude. He made the statement of “well the menu is descriptive”. Be that as it may, not everyone knows what a lot of different cheeses are or meats are especially ones that are not American. So excuse us for not being food chefs & knowing what Prosciutto was.
Despite our lack of knowledge of what prosciutto was the response from the waitress Siobhan & manager Carlos was unacceptable. Especially from paying customers who spent well over $50-80 per person. You would think a small establishment like this would have more care & be more empathetic & considerate of paying guest food concerns especially when it’s an allergy.
The food was taken back to be remade however, it wasn’t remade, they just picked out the pork & brought it back to the table. And the reason we know it wasn’t completely remade fresh is because the piece of fish that was in there my friend purposely cut into it & that same salad she sent back came back minus what was picked out.
First impressions are huge for me & after this experience we will not return. I don’t waste money to be lied to & spoken to like I’m a fool. Thanks...
Read moreI had heard about this restaurant from a friend and wanted to try it out. I'd been reluctant because she said they charged gratuity on all meals. My experience has traditionally been disappointing when restaurant do that. They didn't charge an automatic gratuity on my bill. They just put tip suggestions at the bottom. First, the wait staff was really friendly. However, the food was extremely subpar. I ordered the salmon eggs Benedict. The salmon made the eggs Benedict about $9 more which was CRAZY because it was what ruined the dish. They brought out the eggs benedict with this huge salmon steak on it. The salmon was so salty that it was all I could taste. I like to order eggs Benedict because it's a breakfast dish I don't know how to make myself. I couldn't taste the egg (which could have standed a little more time poaching), the hollandaise sauce, nor the English muffin. All I could taste was this huge hunk of salty salmon that I definitely could have seasoned better myself. I was treating my family of four. My bill was about $75 and not compliment among us. My first time has turned out to be my last. Extra notes: The service received 3 because I ordered jam/jelly on the side when I ordered my dish. When the server brought the dish out without the jam I told him it was missing. He told me the dish didn't come with jam. I am aware of how an eggs Benedict is served. I like something sweet on the side of my savory breakfast dishes. Atmosphere received a 2 because it was a small restaurant with one open unisex restroom...
