Usually, I do not leave reviews, but I must leave Review for the cashier I experienced tonight. Akiera I just want you to know that even though I didn’t show it you made my night tonight with how kind you were and it’s rare to find customer service nowadays, I was not only here for bad news that I just found out and had to come in and drive from out of town so I stopped by to grab a couple things before I got to my family members house. You Need to not be all the way at the very end of those registers because that store needs your customer service to be what people see when they walk in. I hope that you read the reviews and see this because you we need more of. Our experience several other employees and got two other smiles out the whole store! But neither said hey, how are you doing? Is there anything I can help you with? You walked around your register and took time to help me not knowing I was getting ready to break down if I couldn’t find a particular candy for a family member who we have 24 hours left with. Thank you I don’t know if you just felt my energy, but I definitely wasn’t trying to show it and you walked around and stopped what you were doing and help me find exactly what I was looking for. Hopefully your managers read this and they make adjustments Because you definitely don’t need to be anywhere hidden. You guys need to put this young lady where she deals with customers if you want better results. Bring back the good customer service like she had with me tonight, like hey how are you doing? Read moreI visited the store on Owen Dr on 11/23 @ approximately 12:50 pm. I checked out @ the self check out as I was doing so like many other stores it asked me for my phone number of course I entered my number because the items that I was purchasing were on sale. After I completed my transaction and I noticed it did not give me the discount I was referred to customer service. I told the customer service representative what happened and his response was and I quote verbatim “you must not have any common sense because you entered your phone number “.I responded naturally and his response was this isn’t Food Lion, as if Food Lion is the only store you can enter your phone number for your reward points. I showed the unprofessional, sorriest, lackluster representative the app on my phone that holds all your reward card and replied these are all the companies that you can enter your phone number to get the item on sale. Upon departing the store I ask to speak with management which I did and they said yeah we’ve had complaints on him before. Is it just me or should this character still be behind the customer desk or stocking milk? I called HQ and left a message for the regional mgr, Mr. Thomas Day and you know how that goes, he never returned my call. It just so happened that my aunt, and I stopped by there 11/6/23 and we saw the same customer service representative still behind the counter so we walked out. That told me that Carlie C’s doesn’t value their customers nor do they care how their employees speak to customers. I refuse to spend my money @ an establishment where the workers feel like they can speak and degrade customers. Oh yeah I did call Carlie C’ corporate office again on 11/9/23 spoke with the very nice secretary and once again left another message for Mr. Thomas Det to no avail. Read moreMy worst experience ever was at Carlie C's yesterday. I went in thinking it would be a quick trip to the grocery store, but it turned out to be anything but quick.
I first went to the deli department and asked for a pound and a half of ham, but the girl behind the counter gave me the wrong meat and started slicing roast beef. She clearly didn’t know the difference between ham and roast beef.
Next, I proceeded to the checkout with no more than 15 items. To my frustration, the young lady at the register told me I could not use the self-checkout. Mind you, I was in a hurry to pick up my daughter. One line was long, and the other line was too long as well. I didn’t understand why all four checkout lanes and the self-checkouts were open, yet I couldn’t use them with my 15 items.
I got angry and upset, so I handed my daughter seven items and took the other seven items to the register myself. If you want to discourage customers from using self-checkout as a quicker solution, you need to open more cashier registers.
Overall, I had the worst experience at Carlie C's and probably won't be back for a while. I do enjoy the meat sales when you have them, so maybe that will be the next time I visit Carlie C's. Until then, I’ll be using my...
