If ‘meh’ had a picture in the dictionary, it’d be this Ruby Tuesday’s. I have eaten at many Ruby Tuesdays in my life, many separate times in my life. This is not where you wanna go if you actually want to eat. I used to adore this place for the salad bar, but they just keep removing things. There’s no blue cheese anymore unless you want it in liquid form. And the pasta salad is gooey in a huge clump of mayo. I feel bad laying $4.99 ( went up a dollar ) for the add-on salad bar. It’s not worth it unless you plan on eating white lettuce crisps, shredded cheddar, shredded carrots, and a lot of olives. If that’s what you consider a salad, come here.
The waitress was nice enough, as was the hostess. It’s really quiet ( we went at 3pm ) so noise and waiting wasn’t an issue. We were sat really quickly and didn’t wait a lot for drinks, order taking, or anything.
The pasta as seen in the pictures was $13.99 with little to no flavor. It’s supposed to be a Cajun pasta and as someone who’s devoured a few Cajun pastas in her time, this is kind of a joke. The portion sizes were horrible. My kids only ate a couple bites and even they were kind of done with it after awhile. I didn’t even take it home in a to go box. The picture you see here is exactly what I left behind, not touched a bit more, nothing less.
My husband ordered the Triple Play and said the only thing that had flavor was the cocktail sauce. The hickory bbq sauce on his ribs tasted more like regular bbq sauce, shrimp just simply tasted fried and battered.
Tables are super sticky even though we watched a waiter clean off a table that left before us. Chairs are super rickety and I’m scared of them breaking at any moment. I genuinely don’t like moving in them. Booths look spacious but if you’re plus sized, I’d still worry. It looks like it’d be tight in the tummy area.
None of the high chairs have straps except a couple. We had to pick which child got a strap and which didn’t. We put the one least likely to bash his head on the floor by monkeying around in straps, obviously. Tables are held up from shaking by old menus. High chairs were also sticky and had a black residue on them.
Not a fan. You can tell they’re trying, but I just really don’t foresee myself going back. It’s disappointing. I loved Ruby Tuesdays, but this is just...
Read moreMy mother and I came here tonight and had the worst experience. We were greeted well and sitted immediately. However, the service failed tremendously after that. Our waitress Shannon was not anywhere near up to par to be waiting on anyone. When she finally came to our table we ordered an unsweet tea, and ice water with lemon and a glass of Pinto Grigio. She brings us two ice waters with no lemon and wine. She said they didn't have my wine so, I ordered Chadanay. She didn't ask if we were ready order, just left and went on to the next table that came in after us and took their order. She had no personality whatsoever. She finally came back to us with the unsweetened tea and my Chadanay and took our order. Mind you we were never given straws, napinkins or silverware until we asked, but the table that came in after us was given everything without having to ask. Placed our order and when the food came it was another disappointment the Chicken Carbonara didn't come with real bacon only bits , you couldn't taste the bacon...had to serach for it and I didn't even eat it. While she did bring us salt with our food she failed once to not bring pepper. We paid for our food and left no tip which is the first time. We are very generous with people that wait on us , but only if they deserve it. She really needs to find another line of work for she has no sense of her job duties. I've been to this establishment many times and never have I experienced such lack of attention. One more tidbit, she threw trash over to a table across from us with no regards of people seeing her which I find another reason she needs to find another job!!!! It's very upsetting because tonight was a very special evening for us and we went to several other establishments before ending up here to only be extremely disappointed and mostly due to the lack of service/attention by Shannon. I know our economy isn't doing very well with this pandemic and the restaurant industry has been hit really hard, but you won't do yourself justice if you hire people like Shannon, just saying from a consumer who values/expects great service. Read moreI saw an advertisement on Meta (FB) for Ruby Tuesday's 7 for $ 10 entrees and half priced appetizers. I haven't been in years so why not. I ordered the deconstructed kabobs over pilaf for my $10 entree, normally priced at $13.99, and an appetizer of ribs normally $9.99 but again half priced after 8 pm. I visited the Owen drive location a little after eight. Except for a couple of tables the place was empty. I waited to be seated as per the sign and no one came. So I decided to sit at the bar and order a cocktail. As I was walking to the bar a staff member asked if I was ready to order. Yes, I replied and she asked what I would like. Not being funny, I replied a menu. My entree was decided but I didn't know the appetizer menu. I saw ribs and went in that direction.
Although next to the bar, I had yet to sit down before my order was taken. The staff member left and returned with a bill for for almost $30. I had been charged full price for my entree and appetizer. I asked to speak with the manager and she promptly responded. I explained I was here tonight because of the advertised specials. She was unaware of the promotion. She excused herself and returned with some type of internal price memo sheet and pointed out that the 7 for $10 entree promotion was strictly for the weekend but did offer to correct the appetizer pricing.
I declined her offer and paid the bill accordingly. Was it worth it? NO! Will I return? Probably Not. Would I recommend Ruby Tuesday's? NO! Here's why. First, the least expensive thing you put on a plate is rice and pilaf is rice. Next is onions and peppers ( or any veggies) yet RT was skimpy with the rice. I actually went home and added some rice. The deconstructed kabobs were okay but the meat was chewy from its steam bath where they put a bit of water to the meat and heat to cook it faster. Ribs were nice but would have been great at...
