Went to Dillards this week and visited Chanel counter. Looked at Coco Madamoiselle cologne and brow pencils mainly. Was told about the promotion of for every one hundred dollars spent, you get a 25 dollar reward to spend. I took a picture of the display and told the makeup person I would come back and do this. I went back today and intended to buy the cologne, brow pencil and a foundation to spend 200 dollars and get 50 dollars to spend. I was informed that I had to buy by yesterday to get that promotion. I was never told that and I feel the promotion sign was misleading. They said the sign meant I could spend the extra money before May 14. I had them put it back and will either watch for a new promotion or buy from someone else. I have always liked to shop at Dillards and have their charge card but this was just so disappointing.
Visited Dillards and bought some clothing for my husband. I want to brag on the young man who helped us. I think his name was Bryce Rogers, a ban from California. He helped us find exactly what we needed and made suggestions and was very friendly and professional. I wish all the employees were as good. Most of the time it is hard to find anyone to help or check you out. Biden's America I guess. ' I have to give a great review for John Lands i'n women's shoes in November 2023. He helped with an order from the store that saved shipping because the item was not in stock at the local store. I know Belk did this but did not know Dillard's also does this. He was great as I took a while finding my charge card and he was very pleasant. Not all of your employees...
Read moreMy hispanic fiancé was there the other day shopping for my birthday gift. We are frequent customers at Dillards. I have a Dillards CC and the dept sales associates usually recognize us. However when he was there the other day, the lady in the purse dept insulted him multiple times. She continued to make multiple jokes regarding his race within the few minutes he talked to her. My fiancé owns a barber shop, always well dressed, with a clean cut and wears nice jewelry. There was no reason for her to make assumptions that him and his friend would steal something. She asked them if they worked and what their jobs were before she pulled a purse from the glass case. She continued to ask “jokingly” if his friend was the get-away driver. And other stereotypical remarks about them being Hispanic. Eventually my fiancé told her nevermind on the purses that him and his friend were considering because the jokes started to get out of line. It’s just really disappointing for him to be treated this way when he is a very respectful person and he usually spends quite a bit on my gifts. He now feels uncomfortable shopping at Dillards, although many of our favorite brands are sold there. Imagine how it feels to be belittled because of your race no matter how hard you have worked to be a successful person. I hope the management addresses this behavior to ensure a more welcoming environment for all customers regardless...
Read moreAvoid going to their women’s store. Horrible customer service. I dealt with one of the rudest cashiers at this store. I brought it to the mangers attention. After several phone calls and days the manager named Emma called back and said that she was sorry that I got a cashier that was at the end of their patience on that day. So a meaningless apology should make up for the trouble and embarrassment a customer was put through. Well if it was only that simple I wouldn’t be going through the trouble of wasting my time with them and making phone calls. I was singled out among the rest of the customers. While most people were shopping I was told the store had closed and then the cashier was the most unprofessional person I’ve dealt with. I now understand that the cashier was rude because her manager allows that type of behavior. Dillard’s didn’t used to be like this. It’s simple as a customer I should’ve been given the option to shop like the rest of the people there that day....
