If I could give them less than a full star I would. I have an Alpine Navigation/DVD/CD head unit installed by Audio Express. They told me they were done and I paid them $550.00 and walked out and got into my truck. I turned on the FM HD band which was on a local Fayetteville station and there was so much white noise I couldn't even hear the music. I immediately brought it to their attention. The head guy got in my passenger seat and listened to my radio. He turned up the sound and looked at me and said, "oh, well the sound gets clearer the louder your radio is." He said it as if that was an acceptable response. I didn't pay them $550.00 to do an install that was overcome with white noise. He told me to bring it back the next day and he would take a look. Turned out they used the wrong connector (not sure what exactly) and had to switch to a premium connector because my speakers were Bose, this I guess makes sense but I don't know radios which is why I trusted my truck and radio with Audio Express. After getting home I noticed in the next few days that the radio housing was not fitted correctly so when the face of the radio would try to adjust (it tilts, slides down horizontal to the floor board to insert DVD) and it wasn't able to adjust because the housing Audio Express used was too tight. I finally took my truck to Best Buy once I realized Audio Express is incompetent. My main complaint is that Audio Express listened to my radio that night of initial installation and heard the white noise and their response was basically to just turn my radio up louder. $550.00 is a lot of money and for Audio Express to think they can take advantage of me by expecting me to believe I should just "turn up my stereo" is a joke and offensive. Stay away from this place. They are not customer friendly. They simply do not care about the quality of their work or the satisfaction of...
Read moreAudio Express did a great job… I took my 2006 Corvette to Audio Express to have them evaluate what I thought was a blown speaker. Fred listened to my stereo and could have sold me speakers that I did not need, instead he said the speaker was being over boosted by the audio system. I got to talking about the short comings of my factory stereo. Fred showed me some options where I could have a new stereo installed that be easily be pull out and plug in the old stereo if I wanted to return my car back to the factory original. I had Fred email me a quote and elected to have the new stereo installed. The work was completed on time and at the quoted price. Fred was professional and courteous. There was no high sales pressure. When Fred was demonstrating my new stereo I was surprised to see a gold wedding band in the car. The installer found it when they had my center console disassembled. I am attempting to contact a previous owner of the Vette to find the ring’s owner.
P.S. While I was at the Audio Express front desk to pick up my car, I overheard a conversation Fred had with another customer. What I got out of it was the customer did not buy a stereo from Audio Express, but was having problems with it since he was missing an adaptor. Fred had given the guy the adaptor. The guy said how much is it? Fred said “We’ll catch you next time.” The guy said “But I haven’t paid for it.” Fred said “Don’t worry about it. Just remember us when you have a need in the future.” The guy said thank you and walked out amazed. I thought it was...
