St. Louis Community College - Florissant Valley — Local services in Ferguson

Dealing with Florissant Valley Community College is always a headache! The staff is incompetent. They are not knowledgeable. Either the staff doesn't know the answers or they fail to provide clear instructions in a timely manner. The staff gives bits and pieces of information. If you don't know what questions to ask you'll be messed up. They loose information and never assume responsibility for their negligence. There's always an excuse for the staff but the students are still responsible for keeping up their end of the responsibility. This causes students who rely solely on financial aid for books to fall behind. The online bookstore never ships books.on time. I am truly impressed with Saint Louis Community College ….I transferred credits from Saint Louis University and Fontbonne University…the staff are friendly and extremely helpful ….professors are engaging and knowledgeable….any issues you may have are addressed quickly and handled with care and concern….so glad that I decided to attend …and might I add it is the same quality education at a lower affordable price…..Robert at the advising office is always helpful and knowledgeable with a smile on his face ….makes students feel welcome...

Edit to add that teachers will not email you that class is canceled and they cancel all the time so you might want to check with your teachers every day you have class if you live far so you don't drive all the way to school to find a class canceled.

I don't even know where to begin. This place is just sad. Please try to get in to a better school. Even if this place is offered to you for free find something else. You get what you pay for. Most teachers are clearly only here for a paycheck and teach their own...
