Took my lady to explore a new hidden gem in St. Louis — The Spot Café on W. Florissant, right in the old Payless Shoe Source location. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with open seating, a smooth vibe, and a welcoming atmosphere that only grew more lively as the night went on.

The service? Top-tier. Attentive without being overbearing. We were constantly checked on to make sure we had everything we needed. Shout out to Fran, the manager, who personally made us feel like VIPs, working the floor with genuine hospitality alongside our amazing server.

Now let’s talk food. 🔥 I ordered the stuffed salmon, and I’m telling you — this dish could rival anything from a high-end seafood restaurant. It was seated over a bed of seasoned rice and topped with a rich cream sauce that brought it all together. Paired with mashed potatoes that were thick, creamy, and soulful, and macaroni that had flavor and body (a solid 8/10), this plate was nothing short of fire. The salmon and mash combo? Straight 10/10.
