Horrible. Unfortunately, it’s sad to say but I knew once the new Starbucks location came to North County-there were going to be hiccups sooner rather than later. I don’t know what happened to the people a few months ago that were working there but they need to bring them back. It seems that every time I go there-which is now dwindling (The Lindbergh location is way more efficient and much better in my opinion); there’s trash outside,flies flying everywhere and the attitudes seem to be just as Bad as the trash outside. When there’s a wait no one tells you or even thinks to write a sign. Then when you finally do get to the window they’re either out of something or it takes them an hour and a half to make a simple drink. On top of the drink not being right, they act like we are wrong for asking for our drinks to be made correctly or even RE MADE. At first I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I know how busy Starbucks can be. But when certain things start happening and it became more of a hassle vS a happy little luxury-I gave up. Today I waited 30+ minutes in line and they weren’t even open, when they were supposed to be open at 5:30/6:00 AM…I waited in line till almost 8:30/8:45 ( pulled up around 7:40 ish). The line was wrapped around the drive-through, it took for a Ferguson police officer who was also waiting in line to get out of line and pull back around and tell each individual customer that they were not even open. They don’t give out cards for messing up your drinks or even for waiting long times when there should be no wait..it’s just not worth it. Read moreThere is something that happened at the Ferguson Starbucks today that I have to share. I spend a lot of time there either studying or doing my work on the side. Most days are basically the same but yesterday was much different. First of all, the store was packed with a meeting in their room so space was limited, very noisy and lots of people were at the other tables. Needless to say, I was about to go to a quieter place and then I witnessed this...The manager of the store was sitting close to me in the back. It’s funny that I only ever see him sitting there with a computer!!! Not up and working with his staff, but he made time for this one...He disciplined the only white girl that works there about 2 feet away from me and I heard everything. I felt sorry for her because she had to feel humiliated and he was making her sign documents and asked her if she had anything to say. I expected to see crying or worse. She has waited on me before and I thought she was kind and courteous. I did hear all of it and he was telling her she wasn’t doing her job fast enough. Things like that should be done in a office privately. What does it say about this Starbucks being a community store when all employees are African American and the incident I saw involved the only white girl? I wanted us to have something nice. But, there are those who will ruin nice things for our area. Everyone is short staffed. This location is short staffed ALL the time. Short staffed, it’s dirty, and most of the time the people aren’t nice. Though, sometimes you can catch a “Have a nice day”.
Do you have time to stop for coffee? NO, not if you stop here. Got in line at 10:53am with 4 cars in front of me. I would tell you when I finally got my order, but I’m still waiting at 11:17am. Oh and did I mention I pre-ordered about 30 min from now?
Just last week I ordered a Frap with no Whip and almond milk. I wait 20 min for it to have whip— though it said “no whip” on the sticker of the drink that has whip. I ask for it to be re-made. I’m lactose. She cops an attitude makes it right away and it’s so watered down it taste like Carmel water. Why get upset with me because you didn’t do your job properly?
I’m used to this. When I go I just make sure I have a hour to spare. The only thing that surprises me is that they’re about a 4.0 rating...
