GO HERE FOR EAR PIERCING!!!!! I’m so blessed and thankful I found this place. Specifically Kristin who I believed saved me from having to take my kids to the MD for oral antibiotics. She said they were probably 2 days away from that bad of an infection. My daughters had gotten their ears pierced at another establishment on the island. Same road. Within a week, their ears just didn’t look right to me. The earrings looked like they were embedding into the ear (and they were). One of the backings was warped so it didn’t go in straight and that part embedded into the back of my child’s ear. She was in pain and would cry tear if I even touched her ear with a qtip. On night 2 one of the backings fell out. Night 3 the entire earring came out. Do you see where I am going with this?! These were NOT the right type of earrings for piercing. Kristin was so patient and was able to get these inferior earrings out with some work, clean their ears, and put in the right type of piercing studs. She is gentle and patient, and my little one didn’t even cry. Surgical stainless steel is the right type! Whatever the ones they were originally given were definitely inferior. They may have been stainless steel, but not surgical stainless steel and you could just see the inconsistencies in the earrings and backings when they were out. Kristin knows what to use! Yesterday I drove 45 minutes to this tattoo location only to be told in person by a caucasian middle-aged man with a full beard that I needed an appointment first. Mind you, I had called earlier in the day TWICE and both times I spoke with a very sweet girl, who informed me with everything I needed to bring so my 16yr old daughter could get her first tattoo, yet having an appointment was NEVER mentioned. Never once was I told I needed an appointment prior to coming. Let's not take anything away from the sweet girl I spoke with, however with everything that was told to her, telling me I needed to make an appointment would have been very much so appreciated. Most will say, well you were going to a tattoo shop, what do you expect? I expect to be informed of such things when I call AND to still be serviced when coming into the establishment, just like Taboo Tattooing did, who is down the street, literally a mile down the road.They were very welcoming and pleasant to work with! Zay answered all our questions as well as embracing all the customers that came in after us. Explains why they are called Beyond Tattoo because they go the extra mile and genuinely care about anyone that steps foot inside their shop! I'm never one to write a bad review but my experience was just unfair. I had been messaging and scheduling my appointment with Dylan Walker on instagram. I had sent pictures and advised him where i wanted the tattoos placed. When i arrived for my appointment he asked where i wanted them which i thought was odd because i already let him but i answered. He then said he wouldn't tattoo them on my neck because I'm not "tatted" enough. I have a half sleeve, a neck tattoo already, several piercings and gauges. He also said that having neck tattoos was unprofessional and him and his fellow artist proceed to lecture about them. I'm a grown adult. I have my life together. I don't need to be told what i can and cannot do. Now everyone and every business has the right to refuse service. But i had explained beforehand where i wanted them.
