Walmart — Local services in Fernandina Beach

Do NOT use the Walmart pharmacy. Terribly rude employees, including the Pharmacist. My experience started with a Lena. I had a controlled substance to be filled and I asked if they could fill it because CVS was out of it. She asked why I didn't go to my regular pharmacy. I repeated, because they were out of it. She asked in a snarky tone "Who is your pharmacy?" I repeated CVS. So I asked again if they are able to fill it, because CVS is out of it. She looked at me and snarled "I don't know, we have to make sure THIS prescription is valid." I asked why it wouldn't be valid. She said I need to sit on the hard bench and wait 10 minutes while they validate it. I offered my license and insurance information, but she refused to take it until they "validated" the prescription. I waited, in pain, on the bench, as requested for 15 minutes and went back up to the consultant window.

The pharmacist said that "the internet", but I think she meant "her internet" is slow. At this point I was upset and I slammed my insurance information down on the counter and I said, "Ok, when you figure out what you need to figure out, there is my insurance information so you can fill it." The Pharmacist got IRATE and threw the prescription back at me saying that she does not have to fill anything that she doesn't want to fill. They started the attitude with me and can't handle it when I get a little upset?

I was in no way obstructing her from doing her job. I just didn't want to sit in their penalty box anymore. Instead of getting my business at the pharmacy and possibly me doing some additional shopping, I left as a pissed off consumer that will never EVER consider walmart Pharmacy services again. When I am in Walmart I feel like I am the King of the world. Well not really. I do sometimes wonder where all the cashier's are though. I was there once and there were actually, not one, but two cashier's. Now that day I must admit I did feel like the king of the world. I almost felt like dancing, and maybe I did a little, but not where any one could see me. That's because I am a terrible dancer. The people that work there are always nice. That's because the people in this town are nice friendly people. There are not many towns like that any more. Why is that? I always find what I am looking for the Fernandina Walmart. That is because the main thing I buy there is bird feed and I know where that is. That's why I gave it a five star rating. The reason for writing this review, and I know it helps no one is because it popes up on my phone. Plus at the moment I had nothing else better to do, but now I do so I will end my review here. I hope this review has helped someone, but my guess is it did not. Maybe next time it pops up on my phone I will try to do better. Always remember to be nice to people. We had left the beach and pulled in to Walmart parking lot to allow our 15 year son to purchase additional items he forgot to bring. We dropped him off at the door and pulled away to wait on him to return out front. We drove out towards the end of the parking lot to wait. The store manager white female walked behind used her cellphone taking a picture of my tag. I'm always watching my surroundings and watched her in my mirrors. After she took the picture I asked her why she took pictures of my truck and tag. She said because I was park across empty parking spots. I told her we are waiting for our son to exit her store. Her Walmart badge said store manager. Fearing that this (Karen) was the mgr we was very concerned why our son was taking so long. Then I remembered I told him to take his backpack with so when he purchased new underwear he could change clothes in the restroom. Fearing the actions of the store manager. We parked and quickly went in see what was taking him so long. Well well well one register for cash payment only and he said he has been standing in line waiting to pay.
