Stopped in during my 2 hour layover to have dinner, and boy was I in for a while ride of things to happen.

First I had a delicious meal, Queso Blanco to start with an eye popping portion of a Chicken Fajitas. I mean, I was expecting a dish for sure but this thing took up the entire table! And it was mostly the mixings that did it, of which I only really used up two. Still, quite good.

The service, also excellent, Destiny my waitress was fast on everything, from refills, to asking me if I was good, to bring me my food, all of it. Best server, give that girl a raise.

Then, I find out my bank decided my vacation was suspicious and locked my card on the one day they don't work the phones to unlock it. Awesome, great, thanks sefcu. I sure do feel safer knowing I almost couldn't pay for the meal I consumed.

And then to top it all of, I get an update that my 2 hour layover has now become a 3 hour layover. Ho ho, someone was having fun up there, but you can't keep a good man down and Zona Cocina helped me keep it together.

Luckily I had enough cash to pay for it all, just wish I could have left Destiny a bigger tip like I like to do. If I ever roll through this airport in the future, I will try to repay her kindness. Assuming she...

While traveling through Baltimore I stopped and had dinner here in the Southwest BWI terminal. My server was fast to greet me and get me a drink HOWEVER...he disappeared for quite some time after I had ordered my food. The worst part is that I watched my food get placed up on the counter to be brought out. The bartender walked over, looked at the ticket of where it was going, looked in my direction, and ignored delivering. Then a server saw that more food had been placed and she then went to check all of the food. Several plates were hers that she had been waiting on. She then checked my ticket, looked in my direction, and ignored. It happened one more time with another server and I was completely appalled. When my server finally showed back up I told him what had happened and that the others were certainly not looking out for his best interests or doing him any favors. He offered to get me a new dish since that one had been sitting under a heat lamp for about 10 minutes. I said no but I wasn't happy. The food was actually amazing and I'd recommend the food had it not been the fact that I saw other employees eating and disregarding...

ZONA CUCHINA (BWI) EXPERIENCE LEFT BAD TASTE WHEN WAITRESS UPS HER TIP A SMALL AMT ~ Good food & decent service, (which earned a 20% tip) apparently wasn’t enough for waitress Tamika on 9/8/24. We learned afterward when our cc statement arrived, indicating our bill of $42.95 (incl tax) + $8 tip should’ve totalled $50.95, however was further increased another $2. As small as this seems, it’s still stealing all the same. This kind of deceptive behavior only annoys because they get away with it at your expense. As It’s happened to us before elsewhere, the tendency is to let it go. However, in doing so, the small theft goes unchecked and, thus, will continue - much like a white lie - until confronted (or receive a review). Otherwise, these small theft amounts will add up for the perp as they continue to go unnoticed or unchecked, unless the establishment is notified and they perform their own audit of the staff. I realize waitressing can be a thankless job at times, and wages + tips often don’t add up to lucrative earnings. But a person’s character is still measured by their actions, especially those small acts that...

Stopped in on our way to Boston since it was near our gate. Sat at the bar and were immediately attended to by the bartender. We started off with the margarita special: a double margarita for $14. This was very tasty but the smallest double cocktail we have ever been served. We know, we know…it’s the airport …we were ok with that. Bar tender was very busy so it took a while for him to grab our order for the nachos. After a relatively short wait, our delicious nachos arrived. Again, not a very big serving, but the size was adequate and filled with layers of warm cheese queso, chicken, beans, corns, tomatoes, etc. The staff all seemed to get along and were very friendly to patrons. The size of the bar/restaurant was roomier than most airport establishments. Chairs were comfortable and the decor was modern.
