I love this place so hard, like a rock! A friend and I stopped here when I stayed in Flagstaff on the route home from seeing the Eclipse in Texas. When we first pulled up, the building seemed so small that I got a little worried about my choice to avoid the other shop because of the corny name. Those fears were quickly quelled when I saw the abundance of fine specimens and Greg, the owner is such a cool person! We ended up staying for over an hour and nerding out with him and I left with A LOT of glorious rocks and crystals which I purchased for a great deal. I wanted more but I had to stop myself. Loved it so much that we ran late to the Grand Canyon but all went as it should have. We still hiked over 8 miles and got to sunset on sparkling boulders at Ooh Aah Point, and recommended Greg and the Rock Shop to a lovely crystal enthusiast whom we met there and who would be staying in Flagstaff that night. I would go there every week, if I lived...
Read moreToday was my first visit to the Flagstaff Rock Shop. I always drive by but never had time to stop in. Today I made the special effort to stop in. Greg, the shop owner is a very nice and informative guy to talk to. He was straight forward and honest. We chat it for a little bit before I picked up a few items for Christmas gift. The shop is not big but it has all the needed items on display. Pay attention to the sign he has on the street and on the small building. The prices are WAY better then downtown. Sedona is just a rip off tourist trap at this point. Highly recommend stopping by and chat with Greg. Thank you again for all of...
Read moreThere are so many cool little things tucked into this tiny rock shop, and the owner is so friendly, definitely set aside some time to stop in. It looks really small from the outside, but I think we were there for over an hour. Don’t miss the drawers of specimens along the back wall, there’s a lot in there. I like how many tiny things there are here—even if your house, garage, garden, friend’s houses, and all available other spaces are already overflowing with rocks, you could make space for some of the cool little specimens that would fit on or between of other rocks that you already have....
