Recently, we had a "double patio door" hardware problem, where our lock system was failing. It was an unusual "dual lock" mechanism, made by Emtek and our builder, our door company, etc. could not figure out what the problem really was, via the phone. The house was completed three years ago and neither were wiling to come to Flagstaff from Tucson and Phoenix for such a minor problem. The door company, however, did send a piece of hardware thinking it may solve the problem. But there was NO way I could personally install this complicated piece that extended from the top of the door to the bottom! I made phone calls to local door companies and no one was willing to try to fix it and/or they didn't even return my phone messages. So I researched WHERE to buy Emtek hardware, being convinced I would have to just replace the current handles, plates and lock mechanism with a new design. This would have been a very expensive solution not to mention, I didn't like the current styles I had seen on the internet. Homco is what I found in the area, as an Emtek dealer. So I went there hoping to find our specific handles, etc. and of course the models had changed. Jonathan Whitely, who handles contractor sales, is who I was referred to at the time. He went above and beyond to solve my problem. He gave me his personal cell phone number so that I could let him know the minute the hardware, from the door company, had arrived. We needed to fix this ASAP, since we were returning to our primary residence later that week for the winter. He then, made a "house call", on his own time, to install it! He made it work and then insisted that I owed him NOTHING! He would not accept any payment! WHO does that anymore? And I didn't even make a purchase from Homco! His attention to detail and service went "above and beyond" any expectations I ever had. In other visits to the Flagstaff Homco, I have always had attentive, professional, and caring service, but this was EXCEPTIONAL! Thank you, Jonathan....You...
Read moreBelow is a portion of a letter of appreciation I sent to the president of HOMCO. The experience my wife and I had was extremely positive and I would unhesitatingly recommend HOMCO. The major remodel we completed in Flagstaff would not have been completed with the quality, thoughtfulness and professionalism without HOMCO and JUDE Ajaski.
I would like to share with you the gratifying experience I have had with Mr. Jude Ajaski of your staff. You will not be surprised to hear that my experience was overwhelmingly positive. In the fall of 2016 I purchased a townhome in the Country Club area of East Flagstaff and came to HOMCO for assistance. Mr. Ajaski was referred to me by my brother who had completed a remodel in Flagstaff and found Mr. Ajaski to be an amazing resource. As this was my first remodel I was both nervous and anxious and the work completed with Mr. Ajaski was the major reason that my remodel was completed in outstanding fashion.
Jude has a unique combination of deep product knowledge, sophisticated design vision and coordination skills that are indeed impressive. My wife and I relied heavily on all of these skills and our design turned out to be one we could not have envisioned or completed without the professional expertise of Jude. Beyond these skills Jude has an innate kindness and concern for others that informed all of our work together. As the remodel design, product selection and installation progressed it was clear that Jude was as invested in our second home as was my family. His authentic concern for all details and for quality of the work is one that our family will always be grateful for.
As other reviews mention, HOMCO is invested in the community. My wife and her best friend attended the Ladies Night in Fall 2016 and beyond the wonderful time, were impressed at the commitment demonstrated to supporting the community through charitable...
Read moreSo far things are looking fairly poor. Sunday morning: Left my new stihl saw with the certified stihl saw shop they have there at homco because the thing quit on me after 2.5 months. I felt confident they could handle the repair because there were at least 4 employees busy at work behind the counter. I was told it would be a day or two until they could get to it. Monday morning: That is why I was so surprised to recieve a phone call after only 24 hours from a very attentive employee named Sam. She was updating my warranty info and had a number of questions for me. I provided answers and was told they would be diving into diagnose my saw next. I couldnt have been happier, employees working to earn the money I pay them. Dare I say maybe even making the extra effort to go above and beyond and help with my warranty. Oddly I waited but never received a call back all day long and again the next day. Tuesday: I called concerned that they didnt have any answers after 2 full days of hard work. Spoke with my gal Sam who explained that actually despite what she previously told me nothing had been done with my saw. You see the "tech" left early and then didnt come in the next day either. Appearantly all of those earnest employees working behind the counter were just acting and Sam just answers phones and tells tall tales to customers. The one thing that none of them do is know how to fix a saw. Guess it's just where the cool kids like to hang out, lucky me! From the best I can tell their wasn't a mechanic there Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and we will have to see about Wednesday. So assuming my saw is not the first in line I will be lucky if a mechanic even touches my saw for an entire week. I say 1 week, she says 1 day, what's the difference? Lets not split hairs, lol! So we will see how this pans out but so far I am dissapointed and the...
