Girl in pink hair in checkout by produce followed and watch me buy a soda, I simply wanted to use the cash back option and my card kept declining I left the line and they questioned me if I was purchasing my drink. I came back a few minutes later after I thought I fixed the issue and while I checked out was watched the entire time which added to the stress of my checking out. as I finally gave up on the cash back function i just purchased the ice pop cup. The associate with pink hair and glasses along with her coworker went and checked the receipt I left to make sure I purchased the drink not even caring I was in eye sight. Itâs the fact I work for meijer and would never have to steal a 1.79 drink from the company I work for and could be fired for doing so. The questioning to following to straight up stealing my receipt off the machine to ensure I paid not only violates policy on how to treat customers but is also extremely rude. It was a slurpee not a flat screen tv. Called the store and left a formal complaint, Iâve had several issues to closing lanes early under stocked dirty and just over all rude service. Any other meijer in a 20 mile radius far out does them in kindness and cleanliness. Too bad when a company is based on customer service and they hire staff like this. Visit woodhaven meijer, weâll treat you like a person and wonât ask if youâre going to pay for the items youâre in the check out scanning. the accusation of theft was so humiliating and dehumanizing the associate in charge of this lane needs to take a mandatory retake on her course in asset protection and customer service this experience never should have happened. Itâs...
Read moreWas super excited to see meijer was offering free pick up and decided to try it. First the mperks app for pickup isnât great. You canât browse categories, you have to know exactly what you want and put it in the search bar. This isnât really a huge deal but compared to apps like Walmart for pickup it really needs an update. I completed my first order got home and they forgot to give me 2 items, the manager called me and offered for me to pickup anytime plus $20 coupon, ok no big deal picked them up that night. Put the coupon into my mperks for next order BEFORE I paid for it, picked up my things next day coupon never came off so called, the supervisor said I clipped the coupon after I placed the order and just have to use it next time. I know this not to be true, irritated but whatever Iâll just use it next time. Unload my things missing 2 things yet again, call back they give me a credit again but werenât so apologetic this time. Missing things I actually need at my house so I use my $24 worth of credits and pick up the items I was missing the next day with no issues. I feel like they have a lot to work out on their end regarding curbside, Iâve used Walmart curbside for over 8 months now with absolutely zero issues. I will not be using curbside for meijer anymore itâs too much of a headache, I shouldnât be missing items everytime, and having to call so much more trouble then itâs...
Read moreOne of the issues I have with Meijer is that sometimes what I need is on a shelf that is too high to reach, and then I have to search for an employee to help me. For example, today I wanted to buy low cholesterol liquid egg substitute which is commonly used by older people with health issues. It was on the highest shelf in the dairy case, which I could have dealt with if there was product at the front of the shelf. There were a few packages, but they were totally out of reach.
I tried calling out to the back room through the door, but nobody responded. I could not find any employees in the dairy department. I really needed this product and couldn't go anywhere else to get it. I went over to the Bakery department, and a really nice young lady who was working there agreed to help me. She was so nice and so helpful, she really saved the day for me.
I don't know why items like this that older people like me so often need are set so high on shelves and are inaccessible to those of us who need it most. Only the very very tall, who are fit enough to climb up the shelf would be able to get some of these items. I don't know how someone who is wheelchair bound would ever be able to get some of...
