First, let me say Elizabeth is amazing! Yesterday, I ordered a couple of items for a family member, who is fairly new to the Christian faith. Elizabeth was kind enough to call me when she saw my note online to make sure I knew exactly what gifts I’d ordered and how they may be received as a new Christian (as not to make things confusing, etc.), which I feel was really thoughtful. She swapped one of the gifts out for another one, which was $1 less. Plus, I’m living in a different state now. She told me it was okay for my mom or sister — who still reside in Flint — to pick the gift up on my behalf, which was super convenient. However, when my sister went to pick up the order yesterday around 3p, the clerk (I’m not sure her name, but it was not Elizabeth) gave my sister a really hard time. Instead of just giving my sister the order - which had already been paid for - she questioned my sister about why the order looked the way it did in the system. My sister called me, and I kindly let the clerk know that I’d already spoken to Elizabeth about the order. She said she just wanted to make sure I had talked to somebody…which is a statement I didn’t really understand. Based on what my sister received, Elizabeth had already printed out a new receipt that morning when we were on the phone, and I trust that Elizabeth also updated the order information in the system. So in my mind, there shouldn’t have been a question or hassle, at least not for my sister. I feel that was a question for Elizabeth at a later time. Maybe the clerk was confused by the transaction and just wanted to know how the process worked, which is fine! But it didn’t make sense to hold my sister up, especially when the clerk already had the information she needed. Again, from what I understand, an updated receipt had been printed, updated in the system, and the order was already bagged and tagged and ready for pick-up. Why she gave my sister a hard time, I’m not sure. I’ll continue to shop here, but I’m hoping issues like this will be resolved for future purchases. Thanks for all your...
Read moreThe cashier was very helpful and polite. My grandson (16 next month) wanted to purchase a Bible. I thought that he might want to look at them so took him with me. On the way back to he spoke up and said he learned something while there😊. How MANY Bibles are there. I thought there was only 1. I am doing my absolute best to keep him involved. It is not easy. He lives with his other grandparents. Our life styles are totally different. Dad (my son) is not in the picture very often. He has been in & out of jail. His mom lives with her youngest son's dad. I am praying that what ever happens this next year that our church ( he attends with me), comes around him and keeps him lifted up in pray and keeps him active. I went through surgery December of 2013 chemo in 2014. In April of this year I found a mass and will be starting radiation soon to shrink it, then having surgery. It can't happen soon enough. In my opinion time. But I am trusting and doing my best in our Lord that he will give me the strength to over come this a 2nd time. After all HE is a MIRRICAL WORKER. And his time will be perfect, as he knows all and is my majestic doctor. I am claiming that I will be healed by his strips. Have a magnificent rest of the year and may our LORD continue to shower each and everyone of you with his many...
Read moreWas disappointed in the selection of Catholic books and 1st Communion gifts. Much of the gift options appeared to be memorial. There were 2 people available to help which was not enough. I went in after 3 books none of which were in stock. The parking lot was small if you drive a larger vehicle as we were in (chevy truck) it was quite a tight fit with some fancy maneuvers needed. The woman that "helped" me made a point to tell almost everyone that she helped that she "would know, she was the owner" or she "knows because she's the buyer". I stood at the counter, said I needed help, and waited and waited. Finally I went around and stood in line so I could get service. When asking if she had a specific book about Saints she said did you look in the Catholic section" it's over there on the back wall. A completely different section from the rest of the books it was maybe a 3' x 5' section mostly Bibles. For the other book she pointed to the table and said isn't it that over there? I looked, it wasn't. I thought she we know...she's the buyer/owner. I did make a purchase and went directly to the other clerk who was...
