Today I had the worst experience at gaines jewelry. I came here to pick up some jewelry that I had had repaired. I was giving one price when I dropped everything off but when I came back it was a different price I asked a young lady are you sure that’s the right price she say yes I said, when I was given a different price, she immediately looked at me as if I was lying not knowing that I have been a long-term customer of theirs for quite some time. I looked back at the young lady, and I said, can you go figure out what is going on? She said I will go get my manager the gentleman who she went and grab was already listening to the conversation came up to the counter and basically just say it wasn’t nothing that he can do I said, OK, no problem I will not get anything else fixed here again I proceeded to give the young lady my credit card. She completely put my credit card on the counter next she took out my jewelry out the bag and put it on the counter as well too. I looked at her like are you serious right now and she looked at me as if she did not want to touch me or have anything to do with me. Yes, I am a black woman And if you have a problem with that then I don’t need to do business here ever again and I will definitely tell all my family and friends about the experience that I had with you all today. Nevertheless, they don’t care anyway long as you’re spending money but after that, you are nothing to them my sister just bought a canary yellow diamond. I would definitely be telling her to take it back due to the lack they do not want our money, but you are in our city no diversity or home training.. in conclusion, the jury gay is not what it used to be. People are not spending any money on any big ticket items. If they are, it is only for occasion and they are definitely on a budget, but I will say all the people and Gaines are not bad just a young lady that I spirits today. We have used Gaines jewelers several times in the past and purchased things. I decided to have my wedding rings soldered together and I just picked them up. Brian assisted me. They did beautiful work, as always. My rings were clean and sparkly and I was very happy. Because I was wearing something at the time of pick up, I asked if I could have a box for my rings instead of a tiny plastic bag. Brian asked if I bought the rings at Gaines, which I did not. He then said they don’t give boxes for repairs. Walking out of the store, I thought my rings were better protected and secure having them in a small box instead of a tiny baggie in my purse. I was afraid they could accidentally fall out while getting my wallet or keys and I would never know. He asked one of his coworkers if it was OK to give me a little box. I said if you need permission to give a paying repeat customer a box, that’s silly, and I don’t need one. I didn’t know it was a big deal. The other coworker said it’s not a problem, and he gave me a small box. I greatly appreciated that. I left the store questioning the odd encounter. I had the pleasure to work with the Senior Mr. Gaines, owner, he was always kind, professional, thorough, and personable. I’ve received the same from EVERY SINGLE staff person he has left in charge. High Quality and High Expectations. They know me by first and last name, as well as my youngest son who bought his wedding rings from them. Mr. Michael Gouleigh, is one of the BEST jewelry salespersons I’ve ever worked with. He has so much patience and care with his customers and often follows up with a phone call after a purchase or if a customer is having a difficult time making a final decision. Never any high sales pitch from this store NEVER NEVER NEVER. They put you at ease with your selection experience the moment you walk in the door. They SURPASS any change store hand down, no question. They stand by their work if any follow up is ever needed.
