Here is the problem when, although you like the products and most the staff are polite and welcoming, but there is that one staff that is insanely rude to you and you're not sure if they were just having a bad day or they didn't like the way you looked, so you have to write a review and give only a few stars to a business that has that one employee they can't fire probably cuz staff are hard to find...
Positives first: Greatly organized, color-coded and by size and style. Good amount of men's wear and thicker-female clothes. Great wide range selection. We actually spent $200+ here. Love what I got. This store is cute. I will say two of the four staff were kind. The two with the glasses. The one that eventually checked us out and the one who got my shoes for me.
Sincerely. I love a Platos Closet stop on my road trips and never had an issue until here. Usually staff are so welcoming, helpful, in fact, I'll leave 5 stars for all the other locations I went to, for sure, but never have I felt a staff so rude to me for no reason... at any store. No name tags were present, so I can't call her out. She was wearing a yellow Harley Davidson sweatshirt, longer dark brown hair and working with 3 other employees at the time I was here.
I had a lot of clothes I found so I asked if she could get me a basket to hold them in. She set one down in the main walkway which was odd. Usually they put it in a box behind the counter... then when we went to wait to check out, me and my husband were quietly humming a song on the radio. The staff made a snarky comment to the other employee and they then changed the station.. okay no big deal... so we're waiting for approximately 10 minutes to be checked out because the one staff was with another patron. Harley Davidson ignored us behind the counter. The moment the other staff was done helping the other patron, she checked us out. A guy came to check out behind us then Harley Davidson proceeded to help everyone else but us and check them out... maybe she had a valid excuse for blatantly ignoring us and helping the guy and another lady behind us instead, but customer service shouldn't be this way.. especially with a sign hanging behind you that says, "Be Kind". Just saying. I wasn't a "Karen" didn't say anything rude, just trying to check out.... unfortunate. She should get a training on customer...

It doesn't matter how "nice" or "caring" you personally think the people are who work for you if their demeanor or attitude conveys the exact opposite when speaking with customers. Having a full plate of responsibilities at work doesn't make it alright for your customer service skills to suffer. Being told "maybe" when asking if I would be given another inaccurate wait time when I have to return AGAIN is completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and shows how much this area of the business has taken a seat on the back burner after almost two years of COVID.
Came in to sell clothes and was told the wait would be up to an hour and a half. I came back in an hour and 45 minutes later and was informed my clothes had not been reviewed yet, and that it would be at least another hour since they were backed up. I asked if I were to come back in an hour if I would be told the exact same thing about having to wait another hour, and all the associate had to say was "maybe". How incredibly unprofessional, the lady I spoke to made it apparent she could care less. So now I'm stuck waiting in my car having to race the clock with my other obligations that were planned out based on the time frame they gave me. I understand being short staffed which is why I had to even wait an hour and a half to begin with, but why give me a time frame if you can't honor it even a little? The gas I've wasted having to come back multiple times probably won't even be worth the amount...
ย ย ย Read moreBrought in 400$ worth of brand name AE clothes and some designer online clothes that cost me a pretty penny, 3 of the items still had tags on them and were only 6 months old and never worn, and I was only offered 23$ for the whole lot. I felt like I was getting slapped in the face and ripped off, now I could.... sort of .... understand if they had some of the items already, but I looked around the store and seen no duplicates of what I brought in so there was no reason to offer me pennies for good quality clothing. On top of that, one of the girls behind the desk was extremely snobby, the girl that helped me was nice, but the other one was rushing around and just overall rude with giving the girl who was helping me prices on the items. I thought they had a computer system in place to find prices, or so they said, but the girl helping me kept having to ask the snotty girl prices on some of my items. Funny enough they offered me the most money on the cheapest piece of clothing I brought in, which was still only 4.50, I'd rather give my things to goodwill or some homeless organization than deal with rude people and feel like I'm getting ripped off, at least I will get some sort of enjoyment out of the situation that way.
Needless to say, I did not sell my clothing here, and definitely will not...
