Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Florence

This Chick-fil-A definitely needs training and is very inconsistent with the traditional brand. The new morning crew is unprofessional and does not carry the “my pleasure Dna” . Went through the drive thru received my drinks without straws, so I simply asked for a straw and the drive thru attendant acted as if it were a huge hassle. Once I got my straw the drink was made incorrect and filled with heavy ice . I simply asked for a refill and to correct the issue. She said she could not take the drink back through the drive thru window. The new supervisor on duty Andrea said this was their policy, so I asked if I could walk in to fix my drink order. She said since the cup left the premises it could not be refilled. This is the worst I’ve ever been treated at a Chick-fil-A franchise. What happens if you eat on the patio can you not go back inside for a refill? The issue is that the drink wasn’t made correctly in the first place and I was being treated like a criminal. Sadly, we’ve been patronizing this restaurant every week for the last 3 years and the new leadership and team need some coaching on some simple guest service etiquette. First I will say, that I really like Chic-Fil-A. I typically go to the one on Houston road and it’s a really nice place. However, it is currently under construction, so I had to eat at this location. My first and main issue is they have a huge double lane for the drive through. But one of these lanes is only for mobile orders. The flaw in the system is that it leads you directly to the same window that everyone else is going to. So what’s the point? The regular line is backed up all the way to the road, yet the mobile order line has four cars that just cut everyone else with no real benefit. You have to scan your order at the sign anyway, then those cars are sitting in the way at the window, because their order isn’t ready yet. Why not use both lines for both, because both are going to the same place anyway. Then, they have the garbage right next to the pick up window. The smell will make you not want to eat chicken ever again on a day it’s almost 90 degrees. I’ll say again, l really like the franchise, it just seems like this location...

Have you tried the tortilla soup? Rarely do I ever make a post about soup. I would normally take pics. But the plastic container does it no justice. When it's cold outside, this is probably, hands down the best soup from a fast food restaurant I have ever eaten. It has black and white beans. The spice is perfect. Nice chicken and veggies. The broth is thick. There is a bag of tortilla strips. I was hungry. I had the deluxe spicy chicken sandwich and large waffle fries (dipped in chick fil a sauce of course) to go with it. The folks here are super nice. I always play this game when I go to chick fil a. Say something like, have a great day, or wow, I can't wait to eat this. Anything to keep them from saying, that canned, my pleasure statement. I lost. They were great. I said thank you! They said my pleasure. Lol. They even walk around and offer table service after you sit down. This is a very smart, bar setting...
