If youâre expecting the same type of SVDP pricing and sales they have just 10 minutes north in Ohio, think again. All SVDP NKY locations are run by a different entity than the Cincinnati locations.
There are NO sales to be found here. Where other stores have color tag specials or $1.49 clothing tags, this store has decided to make up pricing based on nothing but their own lack of judgment. Tops and Pants priced $3.99 and up, speciality âformalâ wear priced $11+. All other wares priced as marked, including a raggedy moldy soup cup priced at $8. Yippee.
Not only do they come up with the prices out of nowhere, they change them without changing signs or letting customers know in any way, shape or form until the transaction is rung up and placed in some other store brandâs bags. This is how I went from thinking I was buying $20 worth of clothes to near $40. Truly impressive math work from the associates they have working here.
They also play favorites. If a regular comes in at any given time, youâll hear them loudly discussing problem customers and hagglers without a care in the world. They set new merchandise aside for these regulars and openly flaunt doing so.
Only reason I still go is because gas prices are too high to warrant a trip to Cincy when I can sometimes find a diamond in the rough here. But overall, this store needs a complete rehaul. NKY deserves better options for thrifting, especially considering the...
Read moreI go here at least two or three times a week. I buy supplies for work, office chairs adding machines ECT, it's my only past time . But it is getting ridiculous since the new management, Two of the women working there now, are ruining the store. Guess I'll just find a different location. There is a broken coffee table there right now..swear they have it priced for $400 . Several people was talking out loud about how crazy that was and it had to be priced wrong, the tall blonde comes thru and said . No that price is FIRM ! đł I'm sorry not only is it ugly but it has a crack in it. But if it was brand new I wouldn't give $50 for it ! The prices are getting crazy, and every thing I buy lately either has parts missing, or does not work. It would be cheaper to just go buy new. Plus I wouldn't have junk piling up to carry to the dumpster. Also today while there this guy walked up and ask one the price on a item. She acted like he had taken the price off, took the item and said . I don't know but it will be put back thru to be priced and returned to the floor tomorrow. He said I want to buy it I just need the price, I won't be back by here tomorrow. She said no that's the process.. It will be tomorrow and walked...
Read moreDate of visit: 06/12/2024 Easy to spot in a strip mall. Plenty of parking. Easy access. Also takes donations at this location; check for drop off doors. Large variety of items. Prices are okay; some a little higher than I am used to. Examples: mugs are $2, purses are $5 and up (no pricing per individual purse, so basically be surprised at the price when you bring the purse up). It looks like electronics are not checked prior to hitting the sales floor and you have 24 hours to check and return for store credit if need be. Children's toy area is gated and requires adult supervision if your children want to look. Overall, I was not too impressed. If I would need to go back it would be because I am looking for something very specific so I would just run in, make a beeline for that department and be out of there. I have provided updated photos with today's visit. If you deem this review helpful please...
