I have always been an AMC guy. I have their rewards membership and have been going to them for some time.
I decided to give this place a try since it's right down the block from where I live.
Initially, everything went well. I bought 3 tickets, there was no line, I proceeded to the theater and got in my seats.
Here is where the fun begins. I decided to order some food, so I pressed the call button and waited for the server. It took about 15 minutes for one to come over. I found that to be a little long, but I was like, no big deal. I placed an order, it was myself and 2 other people. The food took about 25 to 30 minutes to come out.
To drink, we ordered 2 cokes and a coffee. However, the drinks did not come out with the food. Finally, the coffee came out about 40 minutes after the food. The two cokes still did not come, and I had to press the call button again. It took another 20 minutes to get the cokes, so literally 1 hour after the food came out.
Throughout the service, the several kept apologizing with the excuse that they were "short staffed."
But it does not end there. I decided to order dessert. After about 25 minutes of waiting, I pressed the call button again. The server came out, and I was like, it's been 25 mins. Once again, the server apologized, with the excuse of being "short staffed." It took another 10 mins to get my desert.
Luckily, I was watching John Wick, which is almost a 3 hour movie.
This was a horrible service experience for me. I had been wanting to give this theater a try for some time. Being short staffed should not be an excuse. Your customers are paying for a service and expect to receive it. Don't set your servers up to fail, and stop putting them in an uncomfortable position. Hire more people. This excuse in the food industry of not being able to hire people is getting old. If you paid them well, you would not have this problem.
I can say that I did speak to the manager on duty, and she apologized and gave me some tickets for a future movie and a popcorn voucher.
I really hope management corrects this situation because it's a shame being that the actual...
Read moreGo here for the theatre, not the food!! I’ve never been more upset over what I paid for vs the quality of what I got. The price = a nice meal ($38 per person). What we got = worse than a cheap frozen meal at home. And it REALLY takes hardly anything for me to be happy, which says a lot. McDonald’s and Taco Bell has better food. The 3 stars I gave is only for the beautiful & comfy theatres & the very sweet waitstaff. I spent $77 on food (before tip) for myself + 1 child. Again, the theatres & seats are amazing. The actual service & especially the food is horrible. I’ve been a server, so Im very laid back with service. But where was it?? Our orders were taken (by very sweet waitstaff) at the beginning & then we got the bill to sign at the end. Never saw our waiter in between, never got a drink refill, never checked on our food, never asked if we needed a popcorn refill (it’s supposed to be refilled) or anything else. And the theatre was at least 75%-85% empty at 4:45pm, it’s not like it was slammed. We spent the last 70% of the movie without drinks. The popcorn was ok. The pizza tasted like frozen at home pizza that’s not even good & the cheese was blech. The cheesecake was absolutely awful & desserts are the EASIEST to please us with. Literally anything with sugar and we’re happy lol. A square of cheap chocolate would have been better. It’s hard to describe, but basically the cheesecake tasted fake. Sort of like those cheap kid chapstick flavors. Just very fake & off putting. The texture was awful too. The chicken strips were disgusting and actually McDonald’s or frozen chicken nuggets are better, which… yikes. The flavor & texture was so gross my son wouldn’t eat it (and he eats everything). I tore open a strip and it was SO gross looking. Absolutely disgusting. Not even McDonald’s chicken looks that gross. It was slimy, web-like, and almost like someone chopped up a bunch of gross meat and glued it together. Mkay, so now we know to never actually eat there. 🤢 Employees were extremely nice (although absent). Theatre only from now on. Zero food...
Read moreLast night, we went after two years of not seeing a movie in theaters due to the pandemic. I use to frequent this location at least twice a month. I am not sure if it was the change over but it was horrendous. The chairs are tore up pretty badly. That should have been a dead giveaway. We ordered drinks and popcorn. The popcorn came cold. We buzzed the server and asked for a warm bowl of popcorn. At 9 dollars a bowl I would expect warm popcorn. 20 minutes later we were brought another cold bowl of popcorn. My son walked the bowl down and saw no one. He then buzzed the server and asked for yet a third bowl of popcorn. It also came cold and this point my movie was starting and I had to walk down and tell a manager to just remove the bowl of popcorn. On top of all of it I asked for sweet tea and received un sweet tea. I was charged for a drink I didn't even touch but once. So I went an entire movie without a proper drink or food which is why we came to this location. I will be looking for another theater. I assume it was the last showing and they didn't want to make fresh popcorn. All of your patrons should receive the same service regardless of the time of the movie. I still tipped the server since it's Christmas and I am pretty sure this is an issue from management or above. Half the movie I was so upset I didn't even get to enjoy it. Then the food runner split the drinks he was picking up all over the seat next to my son. I am usually pretty passive but the food runner when my son asked for the warm bowl of popcorn he had a down right nasty attitude. We wouldn't have to ask if you brought us the food correct in the...
