Lakeside Village Park At Virginia Parkway — Attraction in Flower Mound

Nice place for small kids. All the play area toys are made of metal and can get extremely hot under Texas sun. It has canopies but in the seating and picnic table areas only. It also has a spongey surface to walk on. There is also a large field big enough to play soccer or football. It can also get pretty crowded at times. Especially when people are having parties or the neighborhood teenagers are hanging out.

Update: 02.10.23 A few months ago they upgraded the park by putting canopies on most of the metal play areas. I've noticed that this change has more parents and grandparents out there in the middle of the day and afternoon, especially after school. The street curve that leads to this park can get crowded and is hard to get through at times because the people that drive there really don't care about the traffic. A simple solution is to park by the open field but it seems too hard to do that and walk to the play area across the field. Most kids that walk there also like to dart across the street between the cars and this makes the crowded curve extremely dangerous. Also watch out for kids in bikes/ scooters/ skateboards, as they like to use the streets even though the sidewalks have been made for bike riding in this area/ neighborhood. Most of the visitors walk there but we have come across people out of the area that use the park as a 'waiting/ break from traffic' while driving home (usually North on 2499) with frustrated little one's that need to release...

This playground is so cool. There's no parking lot , and it feels more like a community park for the neighborhood around it. But it's well lit and in very good shape. My daughter couldn't get enough...

On one half its open place with park and swings and another piece has a foresty atea with a pinictable and theres a sidewalk...
