As a runner who is passionate about the culture and benefit of running (from roads, to trails...to recreation and racing), and a consumer who thoroughly enjoys and is deeply interested in the outdoor retail space (from design, to materials, to technology, to marketing and community connection) it was awesome to enter a retailer with a broad selection of brands and products - staffed by folks with what I consider expertise (knowledge of and real experience with products)...rather than salesmen. To have employees with an understanding of midsole foams, stack height, upper construction, drop, toe box shape, shoe construction and purpose - as well as the story behind companies and brands is a difference maker and sets shops like Trailhead Running apart from the "big box" or "corporate" retailers. That factor is what excites me about entering spaces like yours and continues to push the running community forward.

The everyday and lifetime benefits of running are almost too great to fully describe with words. I wish more folks would dive in and thrive in the self-paced and intrinsically rewarding world of being outside, putting one foot in front of the other. Shops like Trailhead serve as a much appreciated and enjoyable...

As a beginner runner, I had no idea what I was doing while shopping for shoes online. I was just about to spend $600 online playing the guessing game when I found Trailhead Running Supply online, and I am so glad I did!

Reddit and every shoe quiz I took had me convinced that I'd walk out of their store with one kind of shoe, but the second Jason saw me, he guessed which shoe I'd be leaving with (one that wasn't even on my radar), and he was spot on. He's legit the Shoe Nostradamus - I am still blown away with how he knew this within seconds.

Despite an amazing prediction, he spent another half hour assessing my needs, fitting me for shoes, and helping me find the perfect trainer for my needs. He even left me with super helpful advice for running, improving toe splay, and provided a complete shift in my mental approach to training. Where to start y’all. Customer service is on point, the product offerings are amazing , the home-like quality of the store is captivating. Man, I can go on and on.

What led me to dropping in, is I’ve been looking for a pair of trail running shoes that would be fitting for a tough mudder I have coming up in a month. Prior to visiting Trailhead running supply, I went to every store you can think of and it wasn’t until the folks at REI suggested I check this place out, that it inspired me to make the trip. And just so you’re aware, i was completely discouraged at this point so this was just enough advice or encouragement for me to make the trip.

As soon as I got there, the greeting was warm and friendly! They promptly began assessing what shoe would be good for me. And in the ‘downtime’ they offered me a beverage, it was almost ‘breaking bread’ like; as I was treated as a guest in their home!

At the end, I ended up leaving with a pair of Saucony Trail Peregrine 13, a dope hat, and a bag of coffee!

I will definitely be back. Highly recommend for anyone who is currently or a novice to trail running. The folks here have your back; they’ll take good...
