We visited the place on 7/25 and again on 8/14 . As a rule of thumb , it's unfair to judge a restaurant because the wait was a few minutes longer or because your bread didn't come on time . It's an experience that gets a mark by many factors , food and service being one of them . Both times we were a party of 4 . The arrival of focaccia bread and oil was a welcoming sign , it means that the chef cares , it's home made , it needs constant care 7 days because it comes from the mother yeast . It's much easier to buy bread but staying authentic is a true Italian way . The beverages came quite fast and the wine list was for the most part regional and very reasonable . I always make a point to try to talk to the chef , provided he was not busy . He was very friendly and on our conversation he told me that he worked many seasons in an Italian restaurant in Hamptons NY . I knew we were in for a treat since Hamptons is a playground of who is who in Wall Street , those people do not allow mediocre product to be served and they know their Italian food . I went to the table and told everyone that the chef is from Hamptons , they knew what I meant , we were in for a treat . It's a place where your attitude dictates your experience . It's not that the owners or staff are arrogant , it's because they are friendly and want you as a part of them . It's like cheers w an open kitchen concept . If I lived there , it would be my place to go and maybe I would gain a few pounds and change my name to Norm or Fraiser . The food was fenomenal , presentation , taste , balance . Sticking to the fast casual theme , staff was awesome and the owner made us laugh constantly . We never order 2 bottles , ehhhhh , we ordered 3 . We loved Dallas , people were amazing , Mio Nonno was the highlight , great little restaurant , can't wait to go back . Pizza was great , salads were awesome , lamb was scrumptious , dessert was finger licking . Next month they are opening a downtown location which is a sign in itself that they are doing something right , can't wait since we have another trip coming , respect...

This place is charming and at a great location. The service was a bit slow but we did have a party of 12, so with reason it was a bit slower than usual.
The food is yummy and at a good price point. This is what our table ordered: -calamari - it was ok, a bit overdone; we would probably not order again -carpaccio - this is a must, it was delicious -ciopino - this was a team favorite, (4) people ordered this and we enjoyed it -aragosta - this was a team favorite by far, everyone had a bite and they wanted seconds -tiramisu- this is a must -cannoli/crème brûlée- tried these, and they were ok, probably wouldn’t order again
I have been to over 180 restaurants in DFW and all different price points. I am a bit disappointed at restaurants that don’t accommodate large parties with split checks. With a lot of options for people to choose from, a lot of restaurants bend over backwards to ensure that the customer has an excellent experience (from when they walk in the door to when they payout/leave). My only suggestion is that this restaurant updates their software to accommodate checks for large parties. Sadly, I will not be returning with a large party, which makes me sad since I like to gather people together and show them my favorite spots/new finds. When I got home, It took me approximately 3mins to plug in the items in my computer and compute everyone’s checks. I am in shock that a restaurant doesn’t give its employees the ability to do this. This wasn’t the servers fault so we paid over and above the suggested gratuity because we understand that this is our of their control.
I do plan on returning for another dinning experience and giving this place another chance as the food was delicious. I really hope they update their software for...

Came in on a Friday afternoon for dinner with visiting family. This place was recommended by an Italian as being one of the better Italian restaurants in the area and he wasn't wrong. Parking was a little interesting being in a popular area mixed with apartments.
Upon entry, staff were pleasant and attentive. There were 5 of us and we were trying to figure out if we want to split some appetizers or just grab a Margherita pizza to split. Our waiter suggested the pizza amd glad that he did. The pizzas are baked in a hot wood fired oven that you can see from the seating area. The crust is delicious with a great chew to it. The sauce has a subtle sweetness and the fresh basil offers that familiar flavor that i love in a simple Margherita pizza.
For the mains, my wife got the braised short rib pasta and I got the cacio e pepe, a dish that on the surface seems simple, but if not executed correctly, you can tell. The short rib by itself was a little overcooked but had great flavor. When eating the meat with the noodles and sauce, you really couldn't really tell it was overcooked. The meat was tender and the sauce had a great depth of flavor.
For dessert we ordered what I can only describe as the best slice of key lime pie outside of Key West, FL that I've ever had. This was a very generous slice accompanied by fresh blueberries and strawberries, topped with a heavy whipped cream. This was better than some of the key lime pies that we had in Key West even.
All in all, we were very happy with this place and will be coming back....
