Three words: Ninja. Baseball. Batman. If you know, you know.
This is probably the best barcade I've ever seen. Freeplay is attractive for people like me, who enjoy pinball but aren't very good at it. Pinball machines are well-maintained and in good working order. Good selection of pinball from the 1970s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, and present day. It's rare to see modern machines in a freeplay environment like this one; so it was nice to see newer games like Jaws, Pulp Fiction, and Dungeons and Dragons along with some old favorites from the 90s. I didn't spend much time playing the video games, but I saw some classics as well as newer driving and rhythm-type games.
I like the theme of the place. It is well-decorated with plenty to look at. Good selection of drinks at a fair price. I liked the food menu as well. This was my first time eating pizza with marshmallows on it, which turned out to be delicious. The Japanese/pirate theme is fun, and the staff are friendly.
I got there around 5pm and left at closing time. Wish I'd gotten there earlier because 4 hours wasn't enough.
You can tell a lot of love went into this place.. Would come back again, and would...
Read moreA couple of times a year, my family visits Gulf Shores, and it’s become a tradition for us to spend a few hours at an arcade. This time, we decided to switch things up and try Captain Crazy's Paradise—and I’m so glad we did.
Most arcades these days have lost some of their charm, with overpriced games that just aren’t as fun. But Captain Crazy's was a refreshing change. We ended up staying for almost four hours and would’ve stayed longer if it hadn’t been time for dinner.
While we were there, we also tried the pizza—and it was surprisingly good. If you enjoy pinball and classic arcade games, you’ll love this place.
Update: We returned for more fun! This time we stayed for 6 hours. Of course, we had to have the pizza, but this time we also tried the nuggets, which were great. I've also got to mention how friendly and helpful the employees are. They'll answer all your questions about the games and provide excellent service.
This place has risen to the top of my fun places to visit while visiting Baldwin...
Read moreI wish I would have had my phone on me to take some photos. My wife and I visited for only an hour and had a blast. All games are free play, lots of pinball and multi player arcade machines. We didn't play the golf but they also had Steet Fighter on a projector. I see older gamers enjoying this place more than the young kids due to the place being packed with actual games and not ticket/prize machines. Good job with the awesome atmosphere. EDIT: After a few months of enjoying this place I have to stay I may be wrong about the youngsters enjoying this place as well. I've witnessed several young children loving the old school arcade games and pinball machines. They've even got stools for the youngsters to stand on so they can see the pinball play fields. I also see the kids enjoying Mario Bros and Tysons punch out on the big projector screen. I've even started playing some of the Japan rhythm games here lately and actually enjoyed DDR with the family. Beer selection and the bar foods are...
