Hadn't been to MM in awhile so thought we would go grab a pizza, salads plus we lie to hold out for the tourist traffic during the busier months to try & dine out at places. We try to shop/dine local when we can. Honestly this was a mistake.
While MM has had decent pizza in the past visits, tonight was not one of them. Hate to say but we wouldn't give any stars but had to in order to give a review. Wasn't going to but just couldn't let this go.
Server came over after they back-tracked to the table behind us & giggled saying "oops !" Seemed to have a real issue concentrating on which table they were supposed to wait on & appeared to be "full-steam ahead" on Red Bull/coffee ???? - (This continued the entire time we were there starting with the first back-track. From delivering tableware, drinks, food etc) - We were ready to order when placing our drink order - no problem or so we thought. We all ordered salads & got more croutons than salad - let it slide - Pizza came out & what appeared to be "burnt" on what we thought was just on a few edges actually turned out to be extremely burnt/hard on the bottom as well. Not Good. There was a slight taste of burnt crust - smokey & very hard & chewy. Could barely use a knife to cut through it. Couldn't locate our server & we had a diabetic/challenged person with us that needed to eat. We couldn't wait any longer & then possibly another 30 minutes. Server was gone after delivering the pizza & asked if everything looked alright...it looked okay until we started serving it.... & gone & gone they were. Never asked if we wanted refills - nothing. One of our party had to ask someone else which had the tea with them for someone else's table & they were off. Meanwhile we "try" to chew through the crust & basically ate nothing more than the toppings. Finally saw our server & had to be waved down which in turn was another 10 minute wait while they were fooling around at the counter. (Might add the Hostess & another employee were shoving each other, slapping each other & throwing things at each other) - Told the server we wanted to-go cups for our drinks as she began clearing things off the table, asked if we needed a to-go box...uh NO. Never asked if there was an issue. AND Another 10 minute wait. Arrived with the cups but no check. Another wait. Finally we gather the check & track the server down again to cash out. By this point we felt what was the point of conveying how disappointed we were - There hadn't been any acknowledgement since we ordered/received. We needed her in the beginning NOT at the end. We were just ready to pay & leave. Never saw anyone that appeared to be a manager.
Disappointed in the quality & the service... One couple stated this would be their last trip. No excuse for this either as they weren't busy & overloaded with to-go orders/pickups.

How do you accidentally serve a steak calzone to a vegetarian customer, when the customer clearly states 'veggie calzone' to the server, and they serve a 'veggie calzone' according to the receipt, but added steak to it, and actually add a $4 charge for the steak addition to the 'veggie calzone'? We searched out this place, as we were driving through the area, and specifically chose it because I am a vegetarian and 'veggie calzone' was on the menu, online. We've never been to a Mellow Mushroom before. So I order my 'veggie calzone. I actually ate half of it, believing this business would actually serve what I ordered. Planned to take the other half home. I thought the dark bits were parts of mushrooms, as it is a veggie calzone, and we are at the Mellow Mushroom. When the bill came, there was the veggie calzone, but there was an extra $4 charge for steak being added!!!!! WAIT.... WHAT???!!! And were informed that those dark parts were not mushrooms, but steak!! YOU INCOMPETENT IDIOTS! You just served a steak calzone to an unsuspecting, trusting customer who is a vegetarian!! The explanation given was that somebody must have hit the wrong button. Mellow Mushroom, to you have any understanding of how mistakes in the kitchen, or order taking, can affect a customer? Exhausted, I called in a to-go order, after repeating each item 2-3 times ( understood - it was probably noisy), I was told 20 minutes. I waited 25 minutes before going in, and stood in line for another 5 or so. Then got a phone call in line... to verify my order. Then they couldn't find my order. After another few minutes another girl that was standing there the whole time said "yeah... Ummm, I don't think I entered the order yet". I was told it would be another 30 minutes, no apology. As much as I wanted to walk out- I waited. 35 minutes later they brought out 1 of 3 items I ordered. Charged my card, still no apology or smile. Said someone was looking for my wings. Brought out wings and said thanks. When I asked for rest of order, she said she didn't charge me for anything else, but couldn't give me an itemized receipt? But if I wanted to wait 20-25 minutes more they'd make the garlic bread for me and i could get back in line to pay again. I told her since I had already been there well over an hour for my partial order- I would not be waiting. Response- "You've been here over an hour? " in amazement. Same girl that said she forgot to enter order. I don't care that everyone looked like they either just woke up or that they spend their shift high as a kite.
