There was a lawsuit that the County of San Bernardino lost for turning down over 90% of all General Relief/Applications. They got sued December 14,2021. Look it up online, and Fontana TAD is still discriminating against the indigent and people that are in need. One intake worker Letecia Herrera is rude, patronizing and has some attitude issues. Extremely rude and biased. The process is so flawed and discriminating you cannot get GR there. I hope they get sued again because they haven't changed the application process to help those who need it most. I wrote Governor Newsome. My next letter of complaint is to my Congressman. I will keep fighting for my tax paying right to seek and get welfare assistance in a respectful, decent and dignified manner for myself and anybody else that needs it. I'll say it again. It's Time for a change. Riverside County got sued and lost in 2019 for treating the needy the same way Fontana TAD does. I applied March 9th 2022 again after they denied me March 8, 2022. They don't provide bus fare, they want car registration information, Divorce or separated documents. You can't register for work online, they want you to go in to the EDD office. Just a lot of red tape to discourage people from applying. What I just mentioned is not the entire process either. I didn't think anything like this could happen like this in this day and age in the United States of America. Especially while a pandemic is still going on. Now I know why I see so many homeless people in Fontana. Absolutely Pathetic and Cruel to treat people that way. On top of all of the run around. If you make it through the humiliation and application process. The money is a loan. You have to...
Read moreThis place is worse than the DMV. If you need help, they will give you the hardest of time before you can even get a word back. Terrible communication and terrible service. There are better human beings working at Walmart than this place. Leticia Herrera is a terrible case worker and her supervisor is MIA. I could never reach them and I could never hear back before the actual due date. And I never received notices either. Supposedly, I would receive phone calls and notices but I would check the portal online and nothing until days after the due date. I went in office to apply and I was waiting forever while the girls were chatting. There were two people helping a Spanish speaker when the employee that spoke Spanish could just help the Spanish speaker and the other girl could’ve freed up to help someone else. Quite frankly, this whole office is a joke and explains why people who are truly struggling are unable to get help. I hope the good employees leave and find somewhere else were they will be valued and not carry the weight...
Read moreThe first day I went in to apply for cash aid, I waited in line no more than 20 minutes. When it was my turn at the help desk I was given a number and within 45 minutes I was seen by one of the intake interview ladies, very friendly and efficient. She let me know which documents I should bring in with me on the next appointment. I went in as scheduled on my next appointment. Checked in at the kiosk with the help of one of the ladies at the front desk, didn't get her name but very friendly elderly lady. The female security officer by the entrance to the interview area was very helpful and polite as well. I got called in by Ms. Nataly Bailey, very professional and polite, she asked me questions and I provided what was requested of me. I was in an out of that office in less than 2 hours. That was exceptional service compared to offices I've visited. At one point my mind went completely blank, I'd been super stressing out all week, so it was completely embarrassing but wasn't ridiculed or made to feel less...
