Lucy's Laundry — Local services in Fort Bragg

You know here at The Pudding Creek Trestle we love to heap praises and offer a critique on our local businesses and we do our best to be fair. Please share our reviews and like/ follow our page as we have big plans for ‘23. I had planned to drop a restaurant review but you know what comes on a #sundayfunday for me is laundry day. Well after doing the others in town is time for Lucy’s. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was, not that the others weren’t but still a good selling point. Then there was light music that masked the hum of the machines as well as a TV (though there is not much to watch at 830am 😂). The change machine took my worn bill without fail, I’m the guy with those issues 🥺. Lastly and I think the best selling point is that they have an on-site attendant. He was personable, greeted me as well as everyone who entered and helped make a not so fun activity much more pleasing. Lucy’s also offers drop off service for those of you so inclined to let someone else take your laundry day joy away. Don’t forget there are local places to frequent right there with #CafeJaavy #laMexicanamarket #supertortas #downhomefoods so you won’t be bored. The only negative is seeing the empty hulk of Redwood Liquor which means no morning 99’s 🤔😳🤣😂😉.

Literally the cleanest laundromat I've ever been to, and I travel full-time so I've been to a lot of them! The small washers don't hold much, but enough to get a little load done of socks/underwear with a pair of pants and 2 shirts. It's $4.50 for the small washer, and it takes around 24 minutes. The double loader starts at $6. The dryers are $0.25 for 5 minutes and are good sized. The staff was extremely polite and they were actively vacuuming out the vents from each dryer. The machines all looked brand new. There are 3 change machines and for $1 they sell small boxes of detergent, softener, and dryer sheets.

The folding tables are set at different heights, I loved that touch.

There is a drop off laundry service and even sheet folder bars to help fold bed sheets at the folding tables (I've never seen that before). There's a clean hand washing station, and a bathroom. Lots of chairs to sit at and at least 7 carts to wheel the laundry around from washer to the dryer.

I was shocked at the washer price, but considering this is a 5 star laundromat...
