This is more of a mall than a museum. There are several local shops there that sell shirts and suvioners for Fort Bragg. The main attraction of the museum part is the old logging train Daisy. It is a restored steam engine that sits at the end of the mall walk. For those rock hounds out there, at the time of this posting in Dec 2022, there is a great rock and fossil shop in the mall. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable about the different rocks on display. One of the owners is also the one who dug up the fossils on display.

Pretty cool collection of old steam engines. A lot of these were used during the redwood logging era. As you walk around and look at all the old railroad artifacts there’s plenty of places to shop. The restaurants here have a great spot for breakfast and lunch

Cool little shopping mall with a few little shops and a diner serving breakfast and lunch, coffee and homemade cakes, pies and other pastries. The shops include a souvenir shop with lots of local Fort Bragg and Mendo Coast swag. They can now even customize your swag however you want it! There's also a baby clothing store, one of the coolest rock shops in the area with an exuberant inventory and a very knowledgeable staff, a hand blown glass shop, a jewelry / watches / clocks sales and service shop, a huge smoke shop / cigarette store with great selection, a Mexican clothing and accessories shop and a snacks and ice cream shop! It also has a public restroom, a few kiddie rides and arcade games for the kids, and the whole place is decorated with some really cool historical photos and railroad equipment including two full size steam locomotives on...

Odd curiosities and then there's the landscaped miniature model trains with all the realistic stops and plots. Cool; it almost makes one feel like a kid again. I came for a peaceful time away from the hustle of the City and the routines, and found more that the nippy breeze of the coast, I walked into another time in a different place. Nice!...
