Reading the history about the rings and each year of tree rings is amazing, the size of the saw was also attached to give you a reference of how huge the tree was... it's amazing how this was propped up & secured when you walk around to the back of the display. A few years ago at Ave of the Giants we had 27 people holding hands surrounding a huge Sequoia... absolutely amazing this spectacular tree is still being logged..... this is not in a museum but located on the grounds of an old hotel which is currently closed, there is no parking so if you go around the grounds to the back you have to walk to the site. Parking on street side is...
